i have an x3m and plan to get a G80. People who get M cars want that experience, whether it's for daily or for the weekend. The S58 platform is a beast.
Just bought a 24 m4 comp xdrive. So far i love it

We did the apposite: traded a 3 performance for a M340ix. Never Tesla again.

Thanks for the real world review of how this car is as a daily. I know it’s amazing on the track, but 99% of driving is not that. It’s important for the 99% to also be fun. Interesting that you say in normal driving it’s not that different from a regular 4 series. In that case the M440 is more than enough and way cheaper.

Really? I've been in both and am going to get a g80 when I can. Nothing feels special about being in the tesla. U sit down in it and go "this it?" 😂BMW is a luxury sports car with actual bucket seats and overall sporty design. Tesla doesnt feel like ur in a pure luxury car or luxury sports car. Its just blah. Yea it accelerates quick but just ur body feels it.. G80 fills every single one of ur senses and just keeps pushing. Their both fast af the g80 felt like more of an experience and feels more like an occasion when driving it. Also the exterior is night and day. Model s just looks like basic traffic. The g80 is way more of a head turner and an aggresive mean looking sports car. That's only a plus if u like the presence on the road or not though. Also the plaid has no HUD, 360 cam, or hands free self driving . That really turned me off for a car thats supposed to be a "tech" car. The historic depreciation is worth noting aswell. G80s hold value for years.

Honestly, if you got a M car just as a daily driver, the car has gone to waste. You don't get a M car to see how many miles you can go on a full tank. Its made to be driven, hard. Take it on mountain roads, or the track then you will see why people say its fun. Otherwise if you're just going on the speed limit, yeh a tesla is the better option
My mindset is starting to change to this, for sure. Once I start driving on twisty roads, this car just feels like a different beast.
@only_instincts would you be willing to expound on this thought of beast mode for G82? Massive uptake compared to your 430i?

Honestly, kinda. Brooklyn grey hides dirt really well. If I could get a do over, I would have gone Toronto red, dark blue or frozen dark grey. At this point, if I get sick of it, a wrap is a good option
Trying to decide on the F83 or the G83. I feel even with a tube it will still be planted to the ground.
Honestly, from what people tell me and my personal experience, if you like the new tech and xDrive, you kinda have to go with the G83. F83 if you want that RWD playfulness, sliding around and a hardtop roof.
The ICE Car is not finished just yet! EV has fallen off a cliff. I would never trade my G80 xdrive Comp for an EV until they force me, which will not happen.
