- Found treasure in mini DV tapes! The second video done off of footage from the 2001 Japan reunion tour now sees the light of day in 2018. “My Own Invention” is off of the “Through the Looking Glass” LP which was a concept album meant to follow the story told in the Lewis Carroll book. As with the book, each song is part of an overarching narrative meant to mean different things to different listeners. Get into it!

Pretty awesome. Have been a fan of Killswitch since at least their Ferret release. I made it here from an Acacia Strain retrospective, now finding out Adam was in a band with his brother prior to KSE whom signed Acacia getting them started...small world.
Wonder if Joel and Adam at this point would have ever guessed they would be in one of the biggest metalcore bands shortly after
I found this new video by today and I did not thought that there will be any new release from this band so far. I own "Letters", "Through The Looking Glass", "5 Steps From Forever EP", "Propaganda" & "Live In Japan". I love most "Divest Your Entity", "Apparitional State", "God Complex", "Prelude To Forever", "My Own Invention", "For Those Of You Who Kill" & "Fulfillment". People say that I'm crazy to keep listening all day long til now. Really want to meet those guys. Please keep going.
AFTeRSHOCK and its music is always an inspiration for me to keep playing music and in lyrics writing. Tobias and others are so underrated like you are born too early 20 years otherwise this band is a blasting fire now I bet.
Is it me or does this era of music feel like a completely different world? Glad I grew to have an idea of what it felt like.

9/10 times when someone tells you their band is big in Japan it is equivalent to that kid in highschool who "had a girlfriend over the summer but she lives in Canada" lol. Luckily for all of us, Aftershock was the exception.
Didn't know that was such a universal thing. In Ireland we say that we met her in Spain.
Always wondered what was in the water back then in that area. Or as in if Tobias D’s lyrics had a reach on Leach regarding KsE. I get punk & attitude. Just seems like this particular region had some divine order in the mix

Toby, do you have any live video footage filmed at shows in MA back in the day? Somebody here uploaded some of them on CZcams like 10 years ago but they have been removed. I and people here would be excited to watch those footages.
sorry...all my old footage is somewhere in my attic and i have not been able to find it. maybe someone else will post old shows on youtube?
