I'm a fan of AFTeRSHOCK for so long, I own Letters, Through The Looking Glass, 5 Steps From Forever, Propaganda and Live In Japan. The lyrics are so inspirational, as long as I deep dive into it, they have a very good sense of creation on like how they shape an old school-feel metalcore sound, they are so original as hell. Please, if you guys are planning to play through more songs lately, to ensure "Apparitional State" and "My Own Invention" are on the setlist. At last, I know that I'm not the only one who wanna see reunion of the band to play live or something, at least a couple interviews with Tobias can be really satisfied. Greetings from Hong Kong, we need some serious music here.

9/10 times when someone tells you their band is big in Japan it is equivalent to that kid in highschool who "had a girlfriend over the summer but she lives in Canada" lol. Luckily for all of us, Aftershock was the exception.
Didn't know that was such a universal thing. In Ireland we say that we met her in Spain.
I am so grateful that the CZcams algorythm did something right for once and this video popped up on my feed. I grew up in Westfield and went to highschool with Chris and Joel. I was literally just telling a coworker ther other day about Aftershock and how i remember listening to a demo tape sometime around 94 or 95 thinking it was the heaviest thing I had ever heard in my life. I am lucky enough to own the Propaganda 2 cd collection and I still enjoy the hell out of it all these years later. Thank you for posting this video and for the trip down memory lane.

@@soothingzounds73 There really wasnt much of a scene in Westfield that I recall because there really werent any venues for bands to play aside from a skate shop that hosted a couple of hardcore shows. Most of the great shows I saw were at Fat Cat (R.I.P) in Springfield, Pearl Street in Northampton, but the fact that so many of the best albums of the era were produced in Westfield is really cool. The talent and creativity of both the bands in the area and the style of production at that time was just amazing. It was so exciting to hear and see these bands the early days.
Even when they were young they were the heaviest... totally insane.
I wish there was an Aftershock documentary or just old videos released like the Pantera home videos.
