Probably the post impressive thing about The New Day gimmick is the fact that they turn it around and make it work no matter what The McMahons throw at them. You see this pattern over the years, and the people that have that hunger to succeed will always rise to the top.
I can't think of anyone else who could pull off pancakes like Kofi and the New Day! That could have been a gimmick killer.

Kofi's positivity truly is powerful. He takes whatever gets thrown at him and makes the best out of it. Great trait.
Kofi is easily the most underrated worker, performer, and mic smith of my generation (2007ish-onward). Such a genuine happy person and a true human highlight reel
I think Kofi is genuinely the best and most decorated tag team wrestler of all time. Even before New Day his resume was impressive - and then New Day happened, and it's arguably the best tag team act of all time. And he's had some killer singles work too! One of the greats.
I watched his 24 episode and had a smile the whole time. Seems like such a sweet genuine dude.
He can’t be underrated with all the success and accolades he’s had. He’s a former world champion.
Think it’s so awesome that WWE was able to sign Pat, they really got a gem 💎 and damn kofi’s energy just compliments them perfectly

Kofi takes bumps like a wet noodle. Flying all over the place! The dude can work. Sell anything from anyone. How he continues to take that level of abuse to his body is frick'n unbelievable. Definitely earns his pay.

What makes The New Day work is that Kofi, Xavier and Big E are top level talent that work their asses off and they are humble.

Kofi's always been creative, super athletic, with great psychology. Glad he got his title run but he's always deserved a bigger push. Not surprised he likes Ricky Steamboat--he's definitely in the vein of guys like him and Shawn Michaels.

@@mcfly3399 he's past his prime bro dude is 40 still in ridiculously great shape and I definitely couldn't do what he does however most men's prime is in there 20s and 30s not 40s but wrestlers do tend to go into their 50s before retiring
And his title run got insulted by having it lost to Brock Lesnar within a few seconds instead of given a proper 15 to 20 minute fight where Kofi could still be put over in a losing cause

Pat is doing what I've always thought would be such a benefit in wrestling. Someone who became famous from something else but is a genuine fan of wrestling bringing wrestlers on his show to just talk. It's awesome to see it brings more eyes to WWE and it's always fun to see wrestlers just relax and have fun talking to a peer.

This show has unlocked my childhood memories with my brother staying up late watching Friday night smackdahn. I forgot how tight wrestling actually is.
New Day are future hall of famers no doubt as a stable. They're the only stable in WWE that can sell just about anything successfully. Unicorn horns,cereal,ice cream,pancakes,etc.

What a performance tonight Pat put on. I was impressed all the way around. First to have the stamina to have a wrestling match is ridiculous. Then to not only hold his own, but some of the moves he did were like he’s been wrestling for years. Good for him. Amazing job, Pat! Respect!
This is an amazing interview. I grew up as a Kofi Kingston fan but havent kept up with WWE in a minute. Pats doing a great job growing WWE!

I'm 45..grew up in the 80s..watching on Saturdays..watched the Survivor Series in Detroit..sitting in bar under age on a pinball machine.
His match was one of the highlights day 2.

Honestly I think Vince and Austin might be the 2 most impersonated people in our generation of wrestling fans (people who started watching wrestling from 1990 til now) I've heard a few great Macho Man, Dusty Rhodes, Gorilla Monsoon but somehow there doesn't seem to be anyone done more than Vince and Austin by wrestlers and fans alike and it seems nobody can do those 2 wrong either 😆🤣

Neck injuries suck. The muscle probably did help e, My grandfather got a log dropped on him from a crane and broke his neck, if he wasn't so rugged it would have crippled him probably... same with E.
I've broken mine as well in a car wreck.. no seat belt hit a pole and flipped on the roof... I don't like big E on screen that much but I hope he gets better. Wish you all the best.
