Hey- I’m Aaron from the ChrisFix team- we met on Saturday. So freaking sorry that situation happened, but so glad to see all the safety equipment kept your driver in place. How’s the driver feeling?
I am from the Elmo Saturn Wagon team, and I was so sad to see your car get pulled off after this. Such an amazing build. Glad you are all ok however, and I really hope to see you guys back soon!
There is a video somewhere from inside the Altima. The car in front of him slammed on the brakes as it looks like they were spooked by the car that just passed them. The Altima reacted and swerved to avoid hitting the nervous car in front of him. Things are not always as they seem. And LMAO at those saying the Falcon should've moved onto the grass. It happened way to quickly to pull onto the grass in a controlled fashion.
I'm really excited to see the roll cage and safety equipment perform, that's one of my larger concerns when it comes to building my own race car. Can't wait to get out there one day!
Is it better to try to keep the car on the track or to try to ditch out quickly? After spinning out like that, and if you don't hit anything, does the car need to be adjusted?
@@materialoperator it's best to avoid traffic or people. If that means ditching into a tire wall or guard rail vs cutting back across the track to "save" it tough luck, it puts less people in danger. Look up "turd cmp kink" theres a few videos of our rookie driver messing up and going across traffic. That only works if there is time to react and the driver knows how to react. Odds are the driver has lost control and is going whereever physics dictates. This particular instance it looks like the driver came up fast to traffic and went for a questionable pass. They were either going in the grass and potentially losing control or needed to brake when the gap started closing. Looking at the video, best option after the hit would have been to let the car coast off into the grass then attempt a stop, but I'm not sure if there are other obstacles off track they were avoiding or suffered a steering break. Not much could be done different after the fact.
If only the pilote of the black/orange hooptie had made a hand-signal, mes amis...his arm would be shattered now ! Explain THAT to the insurance vultures...and his wife ! HA!
Hi Amanda, sorry I only have about an hour and a half of bumper cam footage from the middle stint on Saturday. The in car gopro wasn't running on Saturday.
Risky move into the blind spot without enough track.. No surprise, sad that it took out 4 cars.. Lemons seems to be getting more aggro, and cars seem to be further and further away from the original rules (and budget). Last race I was at, was a "NASCAR" machine complete with 500 hp and drybreak fueling rig. getting a bit out of hand.

Re: budget… waaaah. They still penalize cars that are overdone. Aggro? Yes I can say it’s a bit much sometimes. Still had a blast this past weekend.
What car is making 500 hp?
@@graysongrubbs4430 The Cadillac limo campaigned by the Lemontarians. It's faster than it has any right to be, but it's not dominant.
i tried to run a "nascar" tube frame car, and Jay said "no friggin way, the insurance does not allow it" ... soooo
Ya I’m curious which race this was since I work a lot of races.
