I have high hopes in Representative Talarico, and others like him. I’m 70 years old, a Democrat, and lived in Texas from 1978 to 2007. I’ve participated in and witnessed many, many historic fights, the fight for civil rights for POC, anti-war protests, fight women’s equal rights, a woman’s right to control her own body, and others. I supported leaders like Ann Richards, who I stood in awe of. I’m not in Texas anymore, I’m in another state drowning in Christian Nationalism, Alabama. We need young leaders like James Talarico. Goddess bless him!

I wish he could be picked for Kamala’s VP running mate. He comes from humble beginnings, but he well-spoken. He is a Christian, but speaks out against Christian Nationalism. SO many independents and working-class Americans would vote for him. Democrats are perceived as too “elite” right now. He speaks to ALL Americans!

There are other great Democratic leaders I like but something tells me you are president material. We need the 2nd amendment amended and make it extremely very difficult for anyone in this country to own guns. I was in Talarico's district north of Austin until the Thugs gerrymandered him out. Well, the Democratic rep in north Austin was retiring from the very district that James grew up in! Won handily. Fuck you, Pubs. "I'm still here," he might say.

He is the only politician I've donated to for several years.

Technically we had 11 presidential elections since 1980. 2 out of 3 of them the democrats held the white house 8 years straight. Democrats left behind good laws and economic policies 1 out of 3 times. That occurred in the Clinton years. Obama not so much a good legacy. The recession was a hard lift up out of it. ACA not so much a good legacy especially not doing better and if the states got the hell out of the way then we would have covered every American one way or the other.

He's awesome but there's a reason many faiths talk of human society like a garden. We are all born equal, without ideology, but are all indoctrinated by our families, schools, cities we live in, to become either something that the garden was made for or something only fit to be uprooted and tossed into the fire. We know them by name, by their deeds, and the fact that they chose to be the weeds. They choose it over truth, wisdom, family, and even the faith they claim to love so much but refuse to practice. The last 11 presidential elections that were held 2 out of 3 democrats who won served 8 years. That time the house has been held by democrats 20 out of 40 years. 14 years straight were held by democrats from 1981 to 1995. Democrats held the US senate in a 40 year period of 12 years total. Tied 1 time for almost 2 years. You can guess how many times Republicans held congress and the white house and we got nothing but disasters when the GOP ran things especially how Trump mishandled COVID response. The GOP pushed anti-abortion and anti-Vaxxer views.

In your serman, "Let it be," you mentioned that creation is life. So if creation is life, what about an embryo? An embryo is an early stage of life intended to develop into a human being. Even though God is the creator of all living things, he sent his son to take the form of an embryo who then developed into a human being. All living things start as a seed and grow to its full potential. It's just the way God intended.
