While this report is horrific the treatments given in those days were the same for pakeha women. Any one deemed as not coping was given ect Many staff members protested but it was the main treatment before tranquillizers were mainstreamed. Ect blocked memory and was therefore prescribed for behavior modification.

Wow that’s disgusting. So they still don’t give a crap about these guys. Can’t wait for 2023? That should give the department enough time to gather their so called evidence.

I'm so sorry you don't have freedom of speech. I'm in the USA. I have found with these social media platforms you have to be very careful how to word things or they either delete your comment or suspend you for a day or two or both. I hope this helps.

Did the British write their letters in Maori?

I'm American so I have an admittedly poor understanding of NZ history. I've been told that the Maori arrived in NZ less than 3 centuries prior to the arrival of the europeans. Is this accurate?

Maori arrived in the early 1300s, and the first European to discover it, “Abel Tasman” discovered it in 1642, but the first European to land on NZ was Captain Cook in 1769 8 October.

Oh please you didn't get the same treatment as Maori. Yr men were not very nice to you or the children back then. Brutal culture of dominating their spouses and children.
The Domestic came with the British.

Yeah. White women were told not to speak their language.
