The lyrical concept of this song is pretty interesting to me, my interpretation at least it seems to be about how all matter is the same age. The atoms that make up your body, are exactly as old as the sun and the andromeda galaxy and literally all other things, and the ancient stuff that we are has taken such an unimaginably journey from its origin (whatever that may be) to us sitting here now, doesn’t get the full awe it deserves or even a general mention in any human culture. That all matter is one coherent thing, which we humans see as separate, as a way of coping with a reality we do not fully understand and trying to realize the true nature of reality every second of the waking life would be maddening.
To truly realize the depth of our matters journey would take many lifetimes but you cannot avoid it, so wonder “why” and lie awake. We’ve somewhat figured out the what, the where and the when, but the why is not within our grasp.
So, to the extent that you can, recognize what has passed, recognize what we are and where, and act your age.
