I love that you don't try to show off too much, you try to showcase the instruments' sound. I appreciate that. No "blues wankery" as I like to call it. What a beautiful axe. That thing is disgustingly clean. You deserve it imo
Leo was a great designer and inventor. The Stratocaster is considered one of the most important designs of the 20th Century. It’s up there w/the Eames Chair and Arco and Taccia lamps by Achille & Pier Giacomo Castiglioni. It’s not just the Stratocaster, remember he also designed the Telecaster, Precision Bass, Jazz bass, Jazzmaster Guitar, Mustang guitar he was batting a 1000 at his Fender guitar company. Then he went on the constantly make improvements to his early designs with his two other companies: Musicman and G & L.
@@sluggo68 Right, and that's to say nothing of the line of impeccable amplifiers he designed which likewise could be argued were damn near perfect from the start as well. Leo was just a designer extraordinaire by any measure.
@@jaakkoikkela-koski3218 He’s not just hendrix style, genuinely. If you watch a lot of his other videos he varies a good bit. I think generally it has a bluesy or classic rock influence though. You can tell by how easily someone like this navigates a guitar that they could certainly shred some crazy stuff if they wanted to.
@@jaakkoikkela-koski3218 that’s a bad look bro, it’s like saying yeah history is neat but we don’t need to learn anything from the past to be successful in the future
This Fender 54 stratocaster sounds completely amazing. These instruments are made to be played and not stashed away in a guitar shop. I am digging it Matthew Scott. Thanks for the intro video clip.
It is one of the best sounding Strats I have ever heard. And I've heard a lot of them. Those pickups are singularly unique. Heck, that whole guitar is a dream!! 🖖😉
I expected it to sound a lot closer to your '59, really has a voice of its own. With that said, i think i like the '59 more, just so glassy and dynamic
Matthew, thanks for sharing, you deserve every success. I really look forward to your videos, man you bring so much joy. To mirror an earlier comment you are definitely the real deal. PEACE 🎸🤠👍
I grew up around metal, but the older i got, i started to see the value in all genres. Of ALL the strat players i've ever heard, artists or just bedroom players, you have the best style and tone. I wish you would make some half an hour videos of just you jamming, i'd gobble them up
Damn, ive watched this at least 20 times. Bro you sound sooo damn good. I wish i could put your tone in a bottle. From one guitar player to another. You are the humble inspiration we all look for.

No 'blues wanky' but way too much wah to demonstrate the awesome sound coming out of the Fender, way to go man.

It is astonishing how correct Leo Fender got this guitar right from the start. What an amazing instrument.
Cheers P[>
it really is the perfect guitar

Well, he didn't wire any tone control to the bridge pickup...
It’s the perfect guitar because it’s so modifiable!

To me, the neck pickup of a strat is the sweetest electric guitar tone out there. That thing sounds amazing.
That and the in between quack setting are iconic strat tones.......
I don’t mean to spark a strat and tele war but I think both pickups or the neck pickup of a tele sound amazing
@@bruhbruh3642 tele is good but kinda muddy
Nah the neck and middle pickups combined are the holy grail thats what Prince used in the studio to get that Purple Rain tone.
Hendrix....still alive in his music.
Rock on dude 🔥
Give it a break

The king of our generations guitarists, keep shredding!

Nah bro, he's very good but we have to move on from the hendrix stuff. Not saying Hendrix is bad but the guitar is evolving
