Perhaps you can help. I have an ipad pro and bought the USB-c to SD card reader from Apple. For pictures. What app do I want to use to be able to view, import and export pictures from SD card?
@@vickiedgar9741 actually you don’t need an app. You just need to go to photos on your iPad and view them there. When you put the SD card in-the photos section will say “untitled” there’s where you view/download them.

I’m thinking about getting an iPad for video and photo editing. Can you transfer edited photos and videos back to the SD Card from the iPad? I’d like to be able to have different cards for different projects that I can add and remove from the iPad when necessary.
Edit: I’d probably be getting the 64GB iPad Air 4, if that info is important.

I’m editing all of my videos with my iPad and i love it. The experience is not as full as on a laptop, because the apps are not as sophisticated. But for my minimalistic style of editing it’s more than enough. About transferring the files from the iPad back to the SD, yes you can do that but from my personal experience it’s very slow. I tried a couple of times transferring small files and i eventually gave up because I couldn’t wait anymore, perhaps it was an issue with iPadOS 13 and now with 14 it got fixed, but I’d suggest to do a research about this a little bit more before you buy an iPad for yourself. And by the way the new iPad Air looks fire!

blue yes I think so, if you’re not using high end cameras then you should be fine.

I believe they only support UHS 1 speeds at like 104mb/s
@@josiah_carrillo yeah that's the thing about a lot of these multiport dongles, it's not clear how fast they actually are so you have to be careful what you buy. I actually got the Apple one today (For my camera bag) and I have a multiport dongle coming tomorrow (For my monitor at home) so I'll do a speed test and let you know.

The apple dongle says it works with UHS 2 cards, but the sd card I just bought is a UHS 1? Does it mean i cant use that dongle with my sd card for my ipad pro?
it's mean that it's support old format too so your uhs1 will work probably at a reduced speed tho.

No you can’t. You have to import the files to the iPad first, maybe Apple will change that in iPadOS 14-15..

That’s really weird.
I’m using a much more sophisticated camera than the G7X Mark 2 and I’m able to transfer files easily to my iPad Pro. Regardless, even if you can’t transfer with the Photos app, you can always transfer with the Files app.

Ok what I want to know because I can’t find it anywhere, I have a sd card reader for my iPhone 13 and the sd card is sandisk and I know the adapter has a switch so u can delete the sd card, but it won’t delete any videos or pics from the card itself, but I can do it if I hook it up to my laptop, but don’t want to use laptop so let’s not talk about using my laptop, any info would be great.😃👍
As far as I know it’s not possible to format a drive on iOS/iPadOS.
Not sure what to think. I just saw another review and the sandisk was significantly faster than the apple card reader. I see that they are only $10 difference though
I think that I saw that review too and that’s the reason why I got the Sandisk one first. But after using it for sometime, I realized that it causes lots of issues with the iPad Pro. I never had any issue with the Apple Card reader, it works every time and I don’t have to think about it. Maybe iPadOS 14 fixed some of the issues that I had with the Sandisk card reader, but I won’t really rely on that.

One thing about Apple SD reader is…it may work, but future iOS update may kill it and useless. Even though it’s Apple’s own SD reader. It’s how Apple make more money by forcing you upgrade.
This applies more to the third party ones (especially the really cheap ones). iOS updates can make them "unsupported accessories" and they will no longer work. The official Apple one should always work regardless of your software version.
When you play Rally Fury, a card’s HC or XC coprocessor works through the Otg cable and card reader. That is good for teaching the coprocessor with the game, then it can reside in a laptop for better gameplay. Hc: opponents become hostile to each other. Xc: Physx, not realistic, specially for games, cars fly during collisions. Sandisk 16 Gb pendrive CZ is XC, same as a XC micro SD card. Very good to install it to desktop pc, as a coprocessor card for games. Cards learn after a number of gameplay, and it depends on the brand, how the card behaves during gaming. Needs a thumbnail picture or video to have it on the card for full acceleration, that can be anything. For some phones, the background or starting image has to be on the card for full acceleration, a rally game can speed up slow phones permanently if a card is in its slot. Some slots don’t take advantage of the XC, but they start the HC.
if you plug it into power as well as the ipad it would go faster because you have direct power and not just from the iPad. Bad video not really a true example. I know because I have the first one. the one you are recommending does not have the power part so some things will not even load.
for anyone wanting to get this, apple usb-c to usb adapters suck. the usb ports get stuck inside and it breaks, do not buy it, they're slow, expensive and trash in general. theres better and cheaper options.

I bought the cheapest one and im already sorry for this. it took 56 minutes to transfer 48gb to my MacBook Pro . I have to send my apology to apple for trying find something cheaper , quality costs
