    My wife and I had the opportunity to take breakfast with him in his LA home when we were visiting in 1992. He was gracious, generous, and had an absolutely magnetic presence.

    What a great man. As a Ph,D. student of music history, his "Music since 1900", was indispensable, as was "Bakers".

      Zappa was near death...from excruciating prostate cancer...at this point, Zappa wasn't exactly in condition to run the 100-yard dash...it's obvious he's in a hospital bed and suffering
