Those are not beavers, but an invasive species called nutria. If anyone who sees this and plans to visit Prague, please do not feed them. There is already too many of them and they destroy local ecosystem. Glad you enjoyed your visit, cheers from Prague!

@@jendadruhy Oh wow! We honestly thought they were beavers! Thank you for educating us. Just from your knowledge, I've googled it and I never knew this was such a big problem. They were all quite friendly, but that makes sense if everyone feeds them. We shall inform our friends who we've recommended to visit

I have to disappoint you - this is not the beaver, but the muskrat (Ondatra zibethicus), a species originally from Northern America.

We stayed in the ibis Praha Mala Strana - not far from all attractions. We walked everywhere! 😊
