    I did this once on my 147.
    Right site no problem.
    Left site more of a problem.
    The upper wishbone bolt came out with no sweat. But the rest of it was so stuck I thought they did a dragon Ball fusion or something.
    I just had common hand tools and a jack to work with.
    It took me 9h, 3 bits, 2 drills and my finger. 😄
    After I asked a work shop to lend me they heater for a few minutes, it came out, red glowing like a Baboon button.
    I will never forget this. 😄

    4:02 - you can reverse the bolt and the next change you won't need to remove the whole assembly. It's tested and it will not touch the spring. For added safety, you can put another washer. Also the upper bolt should be tighten only after you lift the whole suspension with a jack or something. I'm just trying to be useful to others :D

    • @ItaliaAutos
      @ItaliaAutos  Před 5 lety

      The alloy mount can wear out that's why I always like to remove it.

    Just an observation; personally I'd tighten up the fork bolt on the bottom wishbone when you've lowered the car as it'll twist the bush prematurely tightening it unloaded, I ruined some new wishbones within months doing it like that.

    • @psk5746
      @psk5746 Před 3 lety +1

      Yep, all suspension bush bolts should be tightened when in the correct on ground position

    • @hughjanus3347
      @hughjanus3347 Před 3 lety +1

      Absolutely right, don't forget to pre-load the suspension or you'll ruin the fork/lower arm bush quickly. THIS bolt can be tightened just once on the ground but more normal to measure wheelcentre-to-arch distance before unloading the suspension (jacking the car) then when finished jack hub up till you have the right distance as above before tightening bolts. Then wheel back on....

I have been looking everywhere to find this product for alfa GT 937a1000 but can't find it anywhere. Do u maybe have a link or oem number of that bracket so i can look it up online . Thanks in advance
