- Clip is from the mid 90s romantic comedy "Speechless" with Michael Keaton and Geena Davis. Now that "The Flash" fked up the burton/donner shared universe (along with John Wesley Shrtick's Flash and Linda Carter as Wonder Woman I would also imagine), then this is closest we'll ever get to seeing Michael Keaton "Batman" and Christopher Reeve "Superman" sharing the big screen together. DO I EVEN HAVE TO SAY IT? THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN PERFECT TOGETHER IN A "WORLD'S FINEST" ADAPTATION UNTIL TRAGEDY STRUCK! RIP CHRISTOPHER REEVE.
It's kinda odd how he never stands up in this scene. This movie would have been released well before his accident, but it's hard to shake the association to paralysis.
@@OpinionParade actually this film came out in December 1994 and Christopher Reeve had his tragic accident in May 1995. This was one of the last films he did before he became paralyzed.
Trying to nail Clark with the pool ball is definitely something Bruce would do to confirm his suspicions

Speechless, underrated flick. Came out in ‘94, so by that point they had both moved on from their stints as superheros. Still this would have been the Batman v. Superman we all deserved and needed. RIP Christopher Reeve, the only true Superman.

I'm not sure what you'd call it, but I love this particular style of comedy acting I've seen in a lot of 80s and 90s comedies, quick-witted while also kind of understated and tense.

If director Ron Underwood had been smart, he could have added $5 million in free marketing to this film with one thing...Lynda Carter walks on, in a cameo, as a "waitress" in this scene and says "You boys about ready?" And Keaton and Reeve just look at each other and then her.

Curious that this moment wasn't used for a even a slight nod-and-wink to these to icons. Maybe they did all know but chose to not do it. It was a different time and the idea of doing something like that was not remotely a 'thing'.

It makes the flash movie look like a piece of crap. This to me is Superman and Batman meeting for the first time and fighting over geena Davis.

Nope. Clothing and age. Plus he was working out constantly for those Superman films. Watch his other work like "Somewhere In Time", "Street Smart", etc.
