25 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.
26 And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.
27 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it."

This is clarity and pin point accuracy like I have never heard before. Pilate asked “What is truth?” This is the narrow gate, God”s path, the only way to eternal life. This is truth!
I needed to hear this without thinking my salvation is self deceiving. This should be taught in every church

thats a perversion of the Gospel you can't mix Law and Grace they are 2 different covenants
+don carson Do not get confused brother,u are right do not listen to others but only to the holy spirit.Only by Grace and not by works.Good works anyway will follow in accordance to your salvation and obedience.When you are save,you are save forever..when you sin do not worry you are constantly wash by the blood of Jesus just repent and give thanks for He has already forgiven you from past present and future sin.You are not happy when you sin don't you?God knows that,we are miserable when we sin.God bless you

Whatever happened to the Free gift? Salvation by grace through faith? Salvation is free, and it is an event. Discipleship is a sacrificial life. Friends, keep these separate. If you are honest, you know that this was an utterly confusing mess of mixing grace and works. The narrow gate is faith in Jesus. The wide gate is all other means of saving oneself including works. Notice, Matt 7 didn't end at "in you name have cast out devils". It continues! "and in your name have done many wonderful works?" Such as come to church 3 times a week, teach Sunday school, tithe, volunteer and bake cupcakes maybe? They tried to enter exactly by striving hard! But that's the wide way. Faith alone, Christ alone, Grace alone, that's biblical salvation. Then after you are a Believer, Jesus says to love him and serve him and to love the brethren. And it will cost you. But you will have rewards that are unperishable in heaven and blessing of walk with the Lord here. If you don't obey, your heavenly Father might discipline you. But you cannot lose your salvation, it is of the Lord. The above is not the Bible. Listen to preachers like Ralph Yankee Arnold and Thomas Cucuzza. It will all make sense. The devil wants to get you into confusion and depression to disable your Christian life.

Ever considered that both heaven and hell are along the life path. And by taking the destruction path you will just die and have no afterlife. So many will just die and a few will be reborn into heaven or hell.

He says that work based religion is wrong yet he commands that we follow all of these works in order to follow Jesus that we might go to heaven. Makes zero sense

The scriptures seem to change, first it's if you believe your saved,then it seems to be a hard to get through narrow gate. I truly believe all of this is deception at a higher level than man could ever create. All religion is a deceptive.Are their actually anyone who really abodes with real Jesus?
So I'm hearing Pastor MacArthur here and I have one question. Is daily repentance considered a work? A human acheivement? What then should our daily lives with Chrsit be filled with? Stay in the world with no repentance,having Communion (The Lord's supper) together? Is that works as well? From what he's stating it seems we can just continue status quo, no repentance, no visisting the sick and sorrowful because that is considered a "work"? You see, thats what makes "Onse saved always saved" so dangerous.
I guess then Ill go buy me a fifth of Jack daniels and a pack of smokes since repenting of that would be a "work".

The gate is narrow, and the path is also narrow. When we are born again, Romans 6 tells us that our old self was crucified with Christ and our sin nature was defeated. Pastor MacArthur is absolutely right about entering through the narrow gate; if you really do enter in by being born again to saving faith in Jesus Christ, you will walk in newness of life by virtue of your new self in Jesus.
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed; the new has come." (2 Corinthians 5:17)

It's nice to be able to make a comment on McArthur for he won't allow it on Grace uploads. Well, Mr McArthur you are afraid of the Holy Spirit. Don't you realise that 'tongues' is the way to defeat the power of the tongue over us (St James)? This gift allows us nothing but humility and gratitude to the governance of Jesus himself.
Be weary of the religion of chapter and verse. Funny you don't see any of these people who claim to have the spirit of God, but can't heal.All they can do is read the bible.They show no power of the spirit at all.
