That whole bumper and chrome pieces should get a fresh layer of rustoleum matte black lol
Definitely agree! Just not sure how much time I want to spend on it before I just go tube bumper and winch!
FYSA, for viewers, it’s much easier to remove the entire headlight from the front versus removing the air intake box and disconnect the hoses. Nice truck though ❤
Coastal off-road makes a really nice 1st gen bumper

I painted my entire front bumper with black Bedliner.

To get rid of the rust use steel wool

Hey bro, you ever thought about adding some raptor lights/grill lights to your tacoma? I did it with mine and it came out nice bro. Inexpensive and adds a good look
Try Steel Wool Grade#0000. It cleans rust off chrome very well and it's easy to find.
I’m pretty sure you can screw off the back piece to the bulb so it’s not to hard to install
I know a perfect spray paint for those plastic bumpers.

You could chrome wrap those rusted chrome pieces but It looks fine for now though. I feel like you'll eventually repaint that bumper anyway

I have a 99 prerunner, I taped off the bumper and used a couple cans of plastic black spray paint, looks good as new, took time but was super easy
✌️taco brother i see you have the asid battery 🤦 you should upgrade to AGM battery with the one way diode better starting , Britter lights ,wont dem down on idle an the AGM battery will last 8 to 10 years 3 years on asid battery . Look on the form i did 8 , i did it 7 years ago ✌️

but previous owner added some wacky cheap bright white lights that have housings that run hot. Plus he re-wired high beams to sep. aftermarket floods via stock steering wheel light switch
I got a 2002 taco a couple months ago and don’t know if I should use full synthetic oil or conventional it’s has 178k miles on her and also don’t know how often to change it please help !!!!!!!
Synthetic, every 5k. That's the standardized interval as per Toyota for a 2002. Conventional every 3750. As for which you should actually run, that's up to you but I prefer the longer service interval. If you end up consuming oil using synthetic (more than 1/2 qt every oil change interval) then switch back to conventional. Synthetic is a smaller molecule and you MIGHT end up sucking a little more oil past the rings, usually not an issue on the 5VZ-FE though.
I do synthetic blend at either every 5k miles or 6 months with mine
Get yourself a pair of Spyder protectors. Had them in my 99. Whole different level

Ehh I have some on my 98 and they are pretty dim

Rust-Oleum rattle can the whole bumper and chrome . Problem solved . Mine looks legit . Use semi gloss .
Take a heat gun to that bumper. It’ll bring it back to life.
I did that about a year ago to it. It definitely helps but fades again over time.
