Yeah - the flash bulb cubes aged me a lot, too. Seems like they were in use just yesterday ...
I vaguely remember we also went through some tall skinny ones, didn't we? These were all for instamatic cameras. (For younger folks, those were film cameras used by non-photographers. You stuck the flash cube on top, and each time it was used, one of the bulbs on it would burn out. When they were all used up, you'd pop it off and put a new one on. The film, of course, would also run out after a set number of pictures, and a new roll would have to be put in. You'd then take the exposed roll to the shop for developing aand printing, and get it back several days later. And that was the first time you would see the picture. We amateurs took a lot fewer pictures in those days.)
Omg me too đ€Šââïž
I remember!
I was so happy when I knew immediately what they were..and then reality hit me - I AM SO FREAKING OLD. I need a nap.
1:33. You know, instead of taking a surreptitious photo, downloading it to your computer, then posting it on a website to ask the whole world what it might be, you could have tried walking over to him and, like.......asking him!
1:44. Errrrr, there's seven of them...
7:03 WTF kind of answer is that? "The antenna from a snail thing"
OMG, those are flash cubes.
"here is another one"... but there isn't.
I think that's because this was originally a reddit thread and they've not included the extra photos when they copied it.
5:53 that's a warheads sour candy bottle. From the liquid candy duo thing. Used to drink these for money as a kid without flinching.
I had the same reaction to the Instamatic flash bulbs! LOL
Okay, so what's the skinny? Why did her boyfriend have a menstrual pad wrapper in his bedroom?
6:55 okay, whoever designed that should go to hell đđđ

Uh ohđČ
The square things were called flash cubes as they rotated when snapping a photo on a camera and rotated so the next one - only has to use one for 4 pictures I stews of having to replace the flash bulb for each picture! Not a flash bulb!!!
Ridiculously excited that l actually knew some of these. 3:26 is absolutely a wool winder. I have a cheap Chinese one but, l miss the much sturdier Toyota one l used to have. At one stage, Toyota made knitting machines and mine came with one. This one is missing the cone shaped piece from on top. Wool is either sold in skeins or in hanks and, if you buy hanks, you need to drape it over a 'swift', a pair of un/willing arms or the back of a chair (a poor substitute) and wind it into balls. You CAN do it by hand but a wool winder is infinitely faster, neater and more fun. When it's full you just pop the ball off the cone and you're ready to wind the next one. Plus, it winds centre pull balls which are difficult to do by hand. A swift and a wool winder are invaluable if, like me, you unravel knitwear and re-knit it.
MAN!!! ALL that rapid reading gave me a DAMN headache!!! I NEEDS A SHOT O' WHISKEY!!!
I don't think those are chicken roasters. Too much fuss for a small item.
Many people use a tall beer can. If you've heard the term 'beer can chicken', that's it.
Nope - called beer can chicken roasted originally because people would use an opened but still full of beer. The chicken sat upright on the holder - there were many different kinds but all did the same thing - roasting a chicken straight up instead of down in a man!!!! Iâm old, enough to remember when these were popular - donât think the popularity lasted too long - 1970s!
That's what I referred to. Never said the can was empty. Popular at the SoCal beaches as well as home BBQs.@@sandybruce9092
1:53 That's a "Feuerzange". You put a sugar loaf on it. Place the whole thing on a bowl of hot punch, pour 80% Rum on it and set it on fire. Pour more Rum if necessary. The sugar loaf caramelized and drips in the punch.
12:55 i have seen these be used specifically on crem brulee to melt the sugar i dont think they're for a general heat from above usage, as both times ive seen yhem used it actually came out n contact with the sugar
Lllll
At 6:50-7:02 - it's actually a case for prosthetic testicles and penis.
