The only thing I find rather odd about this accessory is that it comes with a really short cord (like 30cm) I guess their idea was to plug that into the USB slot in the charging dock to charge two pairs of Joycons at a time? If one doesn't care for the motion control games much, the ProController pretty much defeats any need for the Charging grip.

I bought a pro controller instead of the charging grip. But having the pro controller in addition to the joycon charging grip especially if you have someone who plays with you semi regularly. If you have someone play with you all the time just get another pro controller.

Can anyone confirm if the grip charge light changes colour when charged?

The grips don’t have any lights. They are just transparent plastic bits that channel the light from the edge of the joycons.

@chrisf5475 on the one i have, the grip has a light indicator, when plugged in the light comes to indicate the joycons are charging, adter looking up online, this light then goes off once both are charged.

I couldn't find a charging grip this weekend. I went to 3 different gamesters and 2 Walmarts and 1 Target.
