Pink Shadow Root with Orange Color Melt Technique | Let's Play Elumen Series|Goldwell Education Plus

- Salome de Wet, Goldwell Elumenator from South Africa, shows us how to color different and mix shades of Elumen Play direct hair dyes to create this pink shadow root and orange color melt look! Alternate the a+b formulas below and use the Elumen Merging freehand coloring technique to seamlessly merge 2 colors in one strand.
Starting Level:
pre-lightened to level 10
Regrowth and nape:
a) 80 ml Elumen Play @PINK
Mid-lengths and ends:
merging technique (a+b)
b) 60 ml Elumen Play @PASTEL CORAL
+5 ml Elumen Play @ORANGE
+3 ml Elumen Play @PINK
Sectioning of Merging Technique:
The sections which were use for this Technique are a mix of diagonal and horizontal. Each sectioning depends on the final effect, e.g. Horizontal will give more width of color and Diagonal will give more movement. TIP: To ensure you end up with a beautiful halo effect, use diagonal sections as you move up the round of the head.
Motion of the Merging Technique:
Merge the colors together in one strand simply by using your 2 fingers (index and middle) and smudging/blending the connection line. This will make the “connection line” disappear and blend together. The motion used in this technique can be upwards and downwards until the connection line is disappeared to your preference.
Application of Merging Technique:
By wearing always gloves in this Technique, make sure that you have the maximum saturation on the strand. As a freehand Technique merge colors together and clean the gloves to proceed with the next strand, always making sure that you separate each section (most critical if there is a big tonality difference from one section to another).
Note: make sure to crosscheck each section for saturation and blending prior to move at the next section.

The intensity and shine that you get from Elumen Play can't be found in other Semi-Permanent colors. The unique result you get from Elumen Play is due to the Technology of the Direct dyes we are using.

Do we need to use the elumen lock after application?
Idk about lasting time for this but to get the most out of it, wash it cold with colour safe shampoo
I did this at home and it lasted around a month
My hairdresser told my you can't apply elumen to the roots when I asked her to dye my hair pink and suggested dyeing them with topchic. And the video shows that it's totally OK. So why could she say that?
Hello! Elumen can be applied on the regrowth area. Just remember that with the pure shades (depending on the shade) the skin may be stained, thus we recommend to apply it 1/2 to 1/4 cm from the skin. However, if your Stylist is a Goldwell expert, then we recommend going with their advice as they know their clients hair much better.

PLS can somebody help me, I use Goldwell Elumen NA@2 for almost 1 year. I im very happy with it no allergic reaction but the colour fades so quickly !!!! I want to use goldwell elumen PLAY Jet Black, but i dont know if the play is also safe to use for people with allergy for hair dye. I think i have allergic for PPD,PPT AMMONIA AND PARABEN. Pls pls help me out, can i use the Goldwell Elumen Play Jet black colour??????????
Hello, in order to use Elumen Play, it is necessary to perform an allergic test prior to application.
Is it permanent color or toning?
Elumen Play was used and it's a Semi-Permanent color. The hair was prelightened first.
