Is he topper in IFoS or overall AIR ? My gut feeling is too good . He has very comprehensive knowledge of subject. Sad there are only three panel members instead of five conventional panel members. I have done Bsc Biotechnology with Botany and Zoology as elective in 2nd and 3rd year. Am I eligible for IFoS?

Yes, you are eligible to appear for the Indian Forest Service (IFoS) examination with a BSc degree in Biotechnology, provided you have studied Botany and Zoology as elective subjects in your second and third year.
As per the eligibility criteria for the IFoS examination, a candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in one of the following subjects: Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, and Zoology, or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry, or Engineering from a recognized university.

Yes, an Environmental Engineer is eligible to appear for the Indian Forest Service (IFS) exam if they meet the eligibility criteria set by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).
The eligibility criteria for the IFS exam include:
Nationality: The candidate must be a citizen of India, Nepal, Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962.
Age Limit: The candidate must be between 21 and 32 years of age as of 1st August of the year in which they are appearing for the exam. Age relaxation is provided for candidates belonging to certain categories.
Educational Qualification: The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree with at least one of the following subjects: Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Zoology, Agriculture, Forestry or Engineering.
So, if an Environmental Engineer has a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, they can be eligible for the IFS exam provided they meet the other eligibility criteria as well.

Hi Dipankar! The medium of interview is to be selected by the candidate only. Hence, if you are comfortable in hindi, you should opt for hindi medium of interview!
