The thought of these children bleeding out and begging 911 for help while the police were 50 feet away is sickening.
Not even 50 ft. They were directly outside the classroom during the most vital opportunity!
And these were the trained professionals.

Sickening that someone was able to walk right through an unlocked/open door at an elementary school. Sickening that laws require teachers to be disarmed. Then sickening at the abysmal emergency response. Just banning guns wont stop an Epstein wannabe from just walking in and taking a kid, wont stop a unabomber wannabe. Laws require we put our kids in this "fish in a barrel" situation. Where's the funding for automatic door locks, armed security guards, laws that allow teachers to arm themselves if they choose?

Not really because they had to be extra thorough to actually hold that police department fully accountable and discipline them otherwise they would have found a loophole to escape punishment. They didn’t want that to happen.
@@amyahlquist3436 that’s fair but two years is absolutely ridiculous. So much footage/audio was available so early on and countless witnesses outside the school. Completely irrefutable. Not coming at you sideways about it at all. Just crazy to me.

If you are still afraid to do your job when you outnumber the shooter by a large margin and the reward is saving 6 year old's lives then maybe you chose the wrong career.
I would never forget that the cops stopped the funeral home worker next door who went to get his Glock when he saw the shooter go in, the cops stopped the good guy with the gun.

At one point the cops gathered outside the door and yelled into the room that if and student needs help they have to call out to them, this was BEFORE the cops stopped the shooter or even entered and secured the room. A couple of students listened to the cops and began to yell for help and the shooter immediately ran over to them and ended their lives. The level of incompetence from the police is completely astounding and unbelievable.

What’s crazy - and dystopian- is just the month before, they had their “new mass shooting response team” parade around the schools in the area to discuss what to do during a shooting and to brag about how tax payer money was spent to just look cool I guess.

Not probably would happen to them because technically officers are not required to protect and serve. People keep saying that it's their job but it's not and I'm sure they will use that for protection. The police union is what screws us.
This happened because a Federal Judge said " the life of a peace officer is more important than citizens " that is not an exact quote. However it is very close. The lives of peace officers is more important than anyone else. Including children. THAT IS THE LAW! BY LAW: POLICE HAVE NO CONSTITUTIONAL DUTY TO PROTECT YOU!!!

Question, were any children at the school related to any law enforcement officers in waiting-mode? I am guessing no dads, moms, aunts or uncles, etc. were part of law enforcement.

Every Uvalde police officer who responded to the 911 call at the school that day and waited to rush into the classroom should be fired. Border Patrol did what the Uvalde PD was too cowardly to do. After being shot at through the classroom door, the Uvalde cops came to the bizarre conclusion that the shooter was alone in the classroom. That was a ridiculous assumption based on pure ignorance.
It took 2yrs for a report telling us what we knew WHILE THE SHOOTING WAS OCCURRING! 🤦🏾♀️
