      @@hamzaqadir9589 I did build the circuit but I used the code from the website. I edited it for 2 thermocouples. However, I did not calibrate it yet. I will calibrate it against an autoclave thermometer, but this will not be universal for all thermocouples. You will need to calibrate the code for your thermocouple by adjusting the maximum and minimum temps during your cycle against a calibrated thermometer. Good luck.

    Great video.
    Question. I'm replacing my ebike motor pcb. My original pcb has 5V GND SP H1 H2 and H3 components that's I'm familiar with and know how to connect.
    My replacement pcb has these connections PLUS a "K" (relay?) and "-" beside it.
    What is relay used for? Does K mean relay? And, since "K" is not a component on my original pcb does that mean this pcb will not work unless connected to some type relay?
    Tried looking online/Google. No luck. Need some help. Hope u can.

    Good video. The MAX6675 and MAX31855 thermocouple amplifiers are not compatible with grounded thermocouples. This looks like a grounded thermocouple to me. You will get extremely unreliable results using a grounded thermocouple couple. And be frustrated for weeks. I have been there and done that. Also do everything you can to isolate the arduino from power line noise and if you try to use two on the same arduino be careful of ground loops.

    • @artmelanson6619
      @artmelanson6619 Před 4 lety

      here is a video that explains it very well. czcams.com/video/qQzh-qeKSzw/video.html. The grounded ones will work fine until you touch it to a metal , especially if equipment that has an electric motor attached . I bought a thermocouple digital gauge and two thermocouples . The thermocouples were very simple with just the node showing ,no sheathing. Measured air temperature perfectly. checked it in ice bath , again perfect ,touched it to my heat pump liquid lines (copper tubes) and it was off by about 8 degrees (with or without the motor running). when I hooked both thermocouples up at the same time ,to my heat pump (liquid line and suction line) they were both off by about 25 to 30 degrees. I only use ungrounded thermocouples now. (most cheap thermocouples are grounded.) As far as the Max6675 here are my suggestions. Ungrounded thermocouples only, completely seperate power supply then your arduino or any other electrics in your panel (ie its own transformer adapter or battery) or a very well isolated power supply. Capacitor across the thermocouple leads. Shortest leads as possible.
