That brought back a lot of memories as a small child visiting Hotham Park to go to the Zoo and travelling on the miniature railway, going on the boating lake in motorized wooden boats.
I remember seeing the last stronghold of the red squirrel and all adults getting very excited by them, I was always told that the Romans brought them over..
As an aside the gardener won a best garden prize in the late 70's and had his photo taken for the Bognor Post in front a very mature (large) cannabis plant which the police promptly dug up!

Thank you for your memories. I only discovered Hotham park a few years back and made memories there with my children. So it great to hear from people who have better knowledge than me.
