10. The plot is interesting once you understand it. The fight scenes are very well done. And some of the tech is really great.
I was impressed with how they stayed loyal to the themes of the original animated show and still had a fresh perspective for the overall story.
Not what these who watched the animated series first said when movie was out. It's more that graphics novels adapted movie's themes. In prespectivethere issome collective memory fault (see Mandela's effect) about what original series were.

Oh my god I saw this movie multiple times as a kid and always remembered certain scenes (especially the hand feet on actual blades of grass)

Any scene continuing the overuse of this joke automatically disqualifies itself from being great. It could be Charlton Heston and Brigitte Bardot in a film by Luc Besson to music by Ennio Moricone … Any scene that has the Wilhelm scream in it is automatically trash. Period. It's not funny, it's never been funny.

Ultraviolet had a steretypically similar scene, only there character was running gauntlet against cyberpunk defenses, not bioshock ("biopunk") ones.

Before it was a movie with Charlize in it, fashion meets James Bond meets sex meets gadgets meets OMG - it was still audacious with everything...including the violence, but the "kissing" scene where they pass the message, OMG again...
