- What's up guys, in this video were are going to finally be installing the 3g brake booster and brake master cylinder that we got a few months back from a 3G galant... the 3G eclipse should be very similar if not, the same (as long as you remove it from a car without ABS. Another thing to note, you might want to look out for the boosters that have white sticker with a "42" on it. We will be removing the ABS unit out of this 2G DSM and will be removing the ABS proportionary brake fluid valve and replace it with a NON-ABS valve. This booster/master combo paired up to the stock 2 pot awd calipers works GREAT and I would consider doing this budget upgrade if you already did a "BIGGER CALIPER" upgrade on your DSM, but now your brake pedal feels a bit spongy. Do this upgrade at your own risk as I do not hold any accountability if anything goes wrong with your brake system. If you buy a new booster and master be aware that you want the non traction control model and there is different bore sizes available for the master.
Installing with the motor in, is a absolute pain. Either the lower subframe needs to be dropped and ac pushed to the side to do it from the bottom or remove the intake manifold if installing from the top.
I never dented my shock tower and it clears.

Is it necessary to remove the ABS module to install the master cylinder and brake booster?
Se puede instalar el booster con el motor puesto? En tu vídeo se ve MUI fácil ya que no tiene motor pero ya con el motor es posible meter el booster?
Si se puede, pero es mucho mas facil installarlo sin el motor o quitando la araña/intake manifold.
Hi, Can I put the BB + MC without removing the ABS?
i was just considering this upgrade as i picked up some nice evo 8 fronts for my 2gb. I know some people do the replacement when the engine is out so i was hoping to see some simple swamps for the 3G BB + MC!
Damn, so same case in your video LOL. Is it easily doable with everything still in?
A buddy of mine did it with the motor in (including intake manifold).. was a pain, but he was able to do the swap with everything still in place. I wouldn't recommend it though 🤭🤣
@@DSMTHuNDeR damn lol . Maybe ill do the caliper upgrade first then later the Booster. Maybe with the intake manifold out its fine
Do you have to take off the abs?
Yes. I have a video dropping soon on the install of the brake booster and delete of the ABS.
