    I really appreciate them making a budget version of their automatic one, their main water gun that fills and shoots automatically is $180 but this one is only $90 and that is definitely welcomed

  • @FortyTwoBlades
    @FortyTwoBlades Před 2 lety +33

    Very neat to see! I do like the manual factor since it eliminates the need for any chargers and does seem to only take about the same amount of time to fill as the electronic one. If I were to purchase one I'd probably opt for this version. But I'll stick to my darts for now.

  • @theKhaosFactor
    @theKhaosFactor Před 2 lety +69

    I think it would be interesting to see them make this platform fit into a pistol-esque water gun. I don’t think they will do this specific design, but I imagine something that looks like the dual blasters in Splatoon, with the water and air tanks under the forearm like a paintball gun. And then the pump mechanism could be located on the body of the gun like a priming handle.

      Have you used a Super Soaker Flash Blast? Because that's essentially what you just described.

    • @theKhaosFactor
      @theKhaosFactor Před 2 lety +6

      @Board Games, Bricks, & Hobbies
      No, I have not used the soaker you described, but I just looked it up. I see what you mean by this blaster being similar in concept, but that’s not quite what I was thinking. The way I imagine it, this Spyra pistol would need to be primed back and forth multiple times to fill the tank located behind the grip. Then it can be semi-auto fired because the water is already pressurized. Also, if you’re winding why I imagined the tank positioned similarly to a paintball gun tank, it’s to leave room inside the bulk of the blaster for whatever complex mechanisms are within the Spyra LX.

    • @theKhaosFactor
      @theKhaosFactor Před 2 lety +1

    Awe, man, thank you for this video! I’ve been looking at Spyra products in awe since the kick-starter days and just couldn’t justify spending that kind of cash on a water gun, sub $100, may not have enough for everyone right away, but that is far easier to justify with family expensive obviously being the priority.

  • @earlware4322
    @earlware4322 Před 2 lety

    With regards to the blast and range, You are right. I did a review and filmed the blast in slo motion to compare the two. Its on my channel.
    Basically, the spread of the blast opens up on the LX which slows it down and looses power.

      Yeah at least the previous ones were deserving being electronic and apparently water resistant/proof and much better display the performance or shots being similar doesn’t surprise probably doesn’t use electricity to shoot other than measuring shots except for the charge shot. Just the fact of the water water resistant, better display, and not having pump just explains the price

    The mercedes of water blasters, not surprisingly made outside of the united states, but definitely caters to our upscale ideals. I like how the trigger is somehow the compression pump as well as the firing mech. This is an idea I would love to see in a nerf pistol as an advancement on the hammer shot, or top pump slide. Non powered semi auto nerf!?!

    While this is a great thing, you can still get CPS Super Soakers from the 90’s used in the $20-$40 range easy in great condition. I have a CPS 1200, CPS 1500, CPS 2100, and a CPS 2700 all in my collection in great condition and I didn’t pay more than $40 on ebay shipped for any of them.
