- On the 25th of October I flew from Sydney to Singapore with Qantas on their A330 in Economy class (Flight QF81). This was my first time flying internationally in 2.5 years and over 3 years since I last flew on the Qantas A330 on an International Flight. This flight was the 2nd leg of my journey, on my trip to Malaysia.

Yeah, I still feel there above and better than any other Aussie airline currently… but sure, there’s always room for improvement!
Far out, 20 bucks for f***king banana bread and OJ. Sigh, it pains me to see QF's international meal service. Yes I noticed the clouds too, tropical clouds are always bigger, taller and more dramatic. Loved the landing footage, the amount of humidity is astounding. Yes the A330 seat is very comfy. Loved the video!
Rip off hey 😆…. I made sure to stay there a while and get my moneys worth for the view. I suppose for other passengers the meal service isn’t great then… but for me I guess it’s the opposite. Landing was quite spectacular! Thanks Mate!

Comparing to other full service airlines that flew to Singapore from Australia (SQ and EK*), QF is definitely the most inferior in terms of pax experience. Not horrible, just inferior. I'm based in SYD and used to fly to SIN few times a year and I'd rather spend extra $ to fly to SIN from MEL or BNE just to be able to fly EK rather than taking direct SYD-SIN with QF.
* EK no longer operates flights from AUS to SIN

Thanks man! I’ll keep that in mind for future videos to consider including more footage of the destination… I did actually used to do this.. if you see my video flying to and returning from Bali in 2019… and also old shanghai trips…

Bloody airport prices. Captive audience so no other options but expensive food. Get your status up so you get free access to Qantas lounge and free food!

I have often found the USB ports on Qantas not working. Hard to charge up everything!
Yeah $20 was a rip off…but I was starving! Yeah I should really…. I need to consider what’s best as I want to try a lot of different airlines next year…. So probably less Qantas travel, I’ll have to see. Yeah the usb ports are a pain, especially on an 8 hour plus flight… thankfully the entertainment kept me occupied for most of the flight. @@LukeCrisp Plenty of options under the OneWorld Alliance to try different airlines and earn Qantas FFPs and status credits. I just booked a trip to Bangkok early next year. Qantas was $1500 to get there Economy, I booked with Cathay Pacific via Hong Kong and got it for $760

You should try Singapore airlines, much better service
Flown with them quite a few times… maybe it was just an error or something but whenever I had my meal service they never had my special dietary meal… (coeliacs- gluten free)… literally the first thing I do when managing a booking… once they gave me a banana… but yeah I’m sure for everyone else that doesn’t need to select a special dietary meal… I’m sure there fine. I’m going to fly with them again this year 🤞 I get fed this time 😂

I do feel for you in economy. This new A330 is dreadful in first class (Upper Class) Just did a return flight from Manchester UK to Atlanta ! When I got on I said to the cabin manager "This is not what I am used to " , He Sighed and said, "I know, Oh for the wonderful comfortable American planes we used to use " Narrow, uncomfortable herring.bone seats so you have your feet in the face of the passenger across. Squashing more people in.
How tall are you? Bc my spouse is 185cm (6 ft 1 inch) and im afraid the space wouldnt be spacious enough for him 😩
Hi there. I am 176cm or 5’9.. but 6ft 1 should be ok and not overly cramped. If you are still concerned possibly refer to seat guru and look for seats with extra leg room (then select these seats if available when booking or in manage bookings) All the best
Agree about the food…… I’m a type1 diabetic . My wife is Coeliac. Qantas and Air NZ are our safe options and never an issue.
Some of these premium airlines are terrible don’t give a rats ass. I had 16 hour flight on one and got a banana and some rice crackers when I opened the tray.
We are going to NYC next week and playing it safe on Air NZ. On the way back we are a mix of United and Hawaiian so we are a bit nervous about that with two new airlines to us.
Yeah! I think some people find it hard to put themselves in others shoes… recently I have seen plenty of comments bagging Qantas for their meal service!.. 😆 “Premium” airlines who these people so highly rate for their “amazing culinary experiences”, couldn’t give a toss about those of us that have been delt this hand and require an alternative option. I also think people expect too much or have this view that a plane is a restaurant… 😆 I fly because I love to fly… couldn’t give a rats about a first class dining experience..
Best of luck flying back with United! I think since it’s a western Airline… they should certainly cater for you guys and provide more than just a few crackers and a banana!

31 inches of legroom is the absolute bare minimum, and less than all world class carriers such as SQ, EK etc
