@@juni3206 heâs one of the many singers who yes are talented but their vocal ability is so limited that they edge it up with auto tune and reverb effects... almost like a job bellion sort of reverb tone idk how to discribe it.... but also jon bellion actually has a crazy voice and range and vocal agility

YESSS I never been able to describe it but jon bellion vibe describes it perfectly I love jon bellion.... also jon bellion does his vocal effects for style and like because he wants that sound... people with limited ability use it to sound better but it makes it worse... itâs so wierd but maybe itâs also cuz it just fits well with jon bellion style. I have learned anyone sings should show and share emotion.
Thatâs why Billie Holiday was so revolutionary. She was acknowledged as one of if not the first person to inject emotion whether happy, sad, angry, etc. Iâm not only her live performances but also into her recordings.

His hands self direct. Even his fingers at the final phrase. You dont do that unless you immersed in the song. Oh and thats a kitchen in background. So he's achieving that feeling even in a place like that. I agree he must have been hurt. You literally could pause at every phrase and discuss it. Tone, volume, placement, and at least half a dozen other techniques. Theres not enough time to think all that through. The only way this is being accomplished is truly feeling it. He goes from anger to nearly crying to fear based on what has to be life experiences. Ya wanna hug him. Truly amazing.

Not only is his pitch so versatile but you can literally hear every word so clearly when he sings them! Man is đ„đ„đ„đ„ and should be a LOT more recognized for his talent!

This was a prerecorded song, and he recorded himself âsingingâ, and edited the video to synchronize with the prerecording. You can hear the cuts in the vocals and the breaths are not lining up, there is a delay. I would love to hear him with one take or live!

I wish the recording wasn't as harshly manipulated as it is. His recording-mix is so top heavy it bordering on rediculus. I have heard him unmixed and his voice is quite a lot warmer and he sounds even more expressive!

Interesting - having no training in mixing whatsoever I can still hear that there is some sort of over-manipulation going on. Iâm curious, what does âtop heavyâ mean in sound mixing?
@@e.k.6859 Well.. A simple explanation is that the base end of the sound has been turned down resulting in only mid and top range sounds on the recording. He sounds a bit "tinny", shades of a robot voice. The use of voice correction software (autotune probably) amplifies this a bit.

This was great (I've loved Conor's mashups for years now), but I do wish he had gone back to Someone You Loved for at least a little bit at the end. I feel like it would've tied it together into a whole song rather than just a trail of songs. One that sticks in my mind is his version of Hotline Bling which is one of my personal favorites of his.
