The car all little boys wanted when growing up in the 80's and 90's! :D Not going to lie even now I still want one, keep all the parts as original as possible if not some more modern lookalikes, new steel frame doors with locking features and removable starter switch, thing a regular car key that is still part of that switch, a pair of functional helmets for all the seats, new modern diesel engine if I have too, olive drab paint job, turret roof opening, couple of old school jerrycans, pickup backside not the part thing you have, and just cruise around, stop and the drive-in, pick up my nephews and nieces from school, go hunting, hell I could live in it,

I wish I can get those doors...People think they are still selling to the government with those ridiculous prices man. Thanks for all the help. You have helped alot.
I bought a nice H3, after it dies, I’m going to buy one of these things for sure. Only difference is I’ll have to work closer to home lol but damn it’s worth it. Anyhow I love my H3
2 questions: #1- What is that rattling? #2- How much money have you invested in the humvee and how much do you think it will take to make even better? Love the vids and pls keep them coming :)
1) lol I have a bunch of metal and stuff in the back. 2) I have about $13,000 Into it which includes the Humvee, hard doors, antenna, complete ac system, air lift rear bumper with rhino spare tire carrier, high back seats and the front brush guard. The only thing I would do to make it better would be some interior lights, sound deadening, new gaskets for the doors and rear hatch, and maybe a light bar on top. Otherwise this thing drives amazing and is very fun to ride in. It gets a lot of attention driving around as well. People pull into my driveway all the time and ask to take pics with it haha!
I love this vehicle.I have a few questions. How do you solve reverse parking?Does the vehicle have heating so you can drive it in the winter? Is it possible to see the mirror on the right from the driver's seat? Thank you in advance!
I would have liked to drive on of those beasts. Those Hummers/Humvees are beasts. The H1s, especially the diesels, are better than the H2s thought the H3s are okay.
I think this is a wonderful vehicle and even though the US army is replacing this beast my nostalgia with live on for it because ima try buying one of these.
I heard that you have to set it to neutral before starting the engine...what happens if you don't? With the blinker stalk, does it automatically turn off when you turn the steering wheel back like in most cars or is it manual? When the blinkers are on does it make that classic ticking noise too? Also have you ever thought about getting one of those first person camera sunglasses? It'd seem perfect for recording these kinds of videos although driving at night with sunnies on...lol Love it when you accelerate, the engine just sounds so freaking cool
edbo10 I dont believe it will start without it in neutral. the blinkers are manual and you have to turn them off after you turn and they dont make the good old ticking noise. I have been thinking of messing with my gopro head mount positions to make the videos look better but thise glasses would be cool!
DakotaXPRO yeah there's a few videos from people who've used those camera sunnies - the camera's directly between the eyepieces and I'm pretty sure some models record in full 1080p HD glory. Haven't checked the prices though, might be a bit pricey as with any new tech that's just come out to the market. Thanks for the info btw!
Just found your channel. I'm looking to get one this year. How long did it take for you to get you HMMWV after the auction? EUC? It doesn't seem like you had the ordeal others had trying to title it. Any suggestions on insurance? Thank you in advance for your reply.
trussmark Thanks for watching my vids! It took me about 3 months to get it after I won the auction. The whole process went a little bit faster for me because the base that my Humvee was located on was closing their surplus yard. I believe I use Geico insurance for all my military vehicles and they are pretty good with that. I want to make a video very soon that will show people how to buy, pick up, title, and insure these military vehicles from the auction sites. When you buy your Humvee make sure you call IronPlanet and ask for a Montana title. The Montana title doesn't say "Off Road use only" on it and the other titles do. you just take the montana title to your DMV or tag office and get it transferred to whatever state you live in. Hope that helps a bit!
DakotaXPRO Thanks for the reply. I think that being in SC will help with the title transfer, due to no emissions testing. I didn't realize the vehicle would sit for 3 months+ after the auction closed before you'd get it. That kind of sucks, but it's not a run of the mill truck.
Is this the 6.2 or the 6.5? Also would you get in trouble with the law for the camo paint job or tan paint job? I've heard of people getting in trouble for it being a "military" vehicle with a "military" paint job.
This has the 6.2 in it & none there is nothing illegal about it. It is registered as a military vehicle and I actually have many cops and police officers come up and ask many questions about it, they all love it.
I am planning to get one in the near future. But it will be desert tan colored and with 360° turret cap. And somewhere in the more distant future I will get minigun or maybe .50 BMG machine gun on it. Also they are my favorite vehicles. Now about the video: I liked that it is POV and video quality is really good. You earned my subscribe.

I requested a montana title from Iron Planet and I just transferred it over to a florida title. I requested a montana title because it doesnt say off road use only on it.
As long as it has rubberized tracks, meets the weight limit and has disabled weapons on it, meets all other road standards, then it's perfectly legal.....in certain states. In Va, a Hummer H1 is illegal because it's "Too wide for the road" but yet there are Semi trucks, dually trucks and other legal wide body vehicles on the road everyday. Maybe they changed the law, I'm not sure. Must look into it. But yeah, driving a tank is legal. BUYING one is the tricky part.
Something Something- No. It doesn't even come near length/weight requirements to be classed as a commercial vehicle and doesn't use air brakes. It's just a truck.
You have to make your own ignition kill switch. My old man has a classic car. If he doesn't teach you how to start it, you would never know how to. He learned because he has this old wood boat that his brother kept using without asking. He found out how to cut the circuits in certain spots that no thief would think to look.
It is actually in really good condition except for the paint on the doors. I purchased the doors separately from the Humvee and they need to be repainted. Its 6,000 army miles, and that is assuming they didnt lose track. You see the crap these things chew through in service? Nevermind the poor bastards with the extra 6,000lb of armor slapped on
