Questo significa guidare oltre i problemi, possedere la velocità nel proprio dna. Io non sono stato un tifoso di Stoner, però quando lo guardavo rimanevo a bocca aperta, quasi estasiato. Chi ci ha fatto credere che quella Ducati era una gran moto lo diceva solo per convenienza. Quell'anno ha vinto il miglior pilota, dominando, con una moto che domava solo lui. Il resto sono chiacchiere da bar.
Ah perché Ducati quell’anno non ebbe vantaggi tecnici vero? aveva un motore con 16-17 km in più, per non parlare delle gomme ma che gare vedevi?
una cosa non esclude l'altra, gran manico ma anche gran motore, non a caso stoner ci ha vinto solo quell'anno sulla ducati, perchè era l'unico anno in cui gli svantaggi in curva erano compensati dal motore.

I suoi compagni erano Melandri e Hayden, non due fermi, eppure Stoner lo vedevano solo sulla griglia, così come Capirossi l'anno del titolo. In Ducati credevano di aver creato la moto migliore e che Stoner fosse un complessato, ma il tempo gli ha dato ragione: quella moto era molto più difficile di Yamaha e Honda e senza di lui non avrebbe vinto nessun titolo.
@@andreamarconi2442 il motore non è tutto ( vedi la ducati quest'anno) e le gomme cucite sulla moto le aveva pure la Yamaha. Però Stoner guidava sui problemi che comunque aveva la moto, alla grande!

Peccato che nel 2006 ottenne una pole, un podio e tutte le volte che terminò una gara la terminò sempre in top 6, nel 2005 fu l'unico a rivaleggiare con un certo Pedrosa in 250, nel 2008 stava lottando alla pari con VR46 (prima di Laguna Seca, poi da lì Vale prese il volo), nel 2009 se non avesse avuto i problemi che lo hanno contraddistinto avrebbe avuto ottimo chance di essere campione (Vi devo ricordare che fino al Gp di Catalogna era in testa al mondiale) e nel 2011 mostrò un dominio incredibile in MotoGp vincendo il titolo. Tutto merito della moto certo.

credo che per dare a Cesare quel che è di Cesare si possa oggettivamente dire che nel 2007 Ducati non avrebbe vinto senza il talento di Stoner, così come Stoner non avrebbe vinto senza la superiorità di quel motore e di quelle gomme Bridgestone.

He was a phenomenal rider no doubt, but he packed it in too early, would have loved to see him against MM on the Repsol Honda.
OP was suggesting Rossi only hung around for the adulation, he hung around because he loved racing and wanted that 10th championship.
If Stoner had stuck around we'd have seen him outpaced by the new breed. Happens to every sports person.

Ever since M1 was very poor in the straight, Rossi can close Stoner in every corner but when it comes to the straight he crash Rossi 20 km per hour different on the top speed.

That ducati in 2007 had 20 more horsepower than any other bikes. You can see every inch Rossi made up in the corners were extended again on the home straight by the Ducati every single time. Stoner just need to keep the line and not lose too much speed in corner then wait for the straight to open the gap again. Also in 2007, bridgestone tyres were much superior than michelin. That's why Rossi asked the team to switch to bridgestone in 2008. After the switch, Rossi beat Stoner in both 2008 and 2009.
Here I'm not trying to say who's the better rider. I'm just saying, it's not just about the rider. The bike and the tyre choice also make a difference.

Secondo me Stoner per il talento che ha dimostrato dal 2007 al 2012 poteva sicuramente battere sia Valentino che Marquez solo che la cosa preoccupante di Stoner era la testa perché già nel 2008 Valentino psicologicamente ha demolito Stoner perché tutte le volte che Casey provava ad allungare Valentino ha risposto presente e a volte Stoner si faceva prendere dalla foga di andare via e vincere che poi andava oltre il limite ed è per questo che ha perso 2 mondiali nei confronti di Rossi poi magari migliorava ancora di più perché ricordiamoci che si è ritirato ad appena 27 anni come il suo numero sulla Moto un caso?
Francesco Pinna ma smettetela di credere a sta roba. La pressione psicologica era un invenzione di meda e company. Stoner cadeva perché portava una moto non da titolo al limite. Stop.
IL DIRETTORE non da titolo che mi sembra ha fatto vincere un mondiale e ha messo in difficoltà Valentino anche l'anno successivo dai bisogna ammettere che Valentino in quel momento aveva trovato un modo per sfiancare Stoner dal punto di vista psicologico poi se non credi che sia così dammi una teoria più credibile
Francesco Pinna non si tratta di teoria, sono fatti. La ducati andava meno di yamaha, stoner per stare davanti forzava e cadeva. Meda introdusse questo concetto e voi come al solito a ripetere a pappagallo. Manco a farlo apposta nel 2011, grazie a una moto competitiva, ha dominato. Tutto ad un tratto la pressione era sparita o forse il problema era in realtà la ducati?
