Thank you for getting this video out to all of us, I'm sure I'm not the only one that's grateful for the update. So many of us have grown with the hobby following Jake. It's amazing to see his passion project continued and not just surviving, but thriving! Best wishes to his little frag :)
The 400 should be named after Jake and have a memorial plaque on it, and definitely keep sticking to how Jake wanted to have it 🪸🐠

Jack is doing such a great job! Thanks for keeping Jake's creation moving forward. It was a nice touch to see Jake's videos intertwined in the updated studio tour, it brought back good memories. Remy's comment about the feeling in the studio is so spot on. There is a Zen quality to simply being there when it's quiet and one can commune with the vibe left behind by our friend.

I had so many of Jake’s videos saved from before actually getting in the hobby and still watch them from time to time. (Reef Therapy too) He won my heart propagating and feeding corals on dives … and correcting Mark on coral names 😆🪸♥️ I agree with you wholeheartedly that he was just different. I think Remy, Mark & Raj are doing a phenomenal job carrying the torch despite occasionally getting beat up in the comments, lol, yet they handle it with amazing poise. I realize now the rumor this place was shutting down, was accidental... but, I'm very happy to see this studio going strong.
We all know Jake left his mark on our collective hobby. But with or without that great Reefer, the potential of the Reef Builder studio was and still is phenomenal. The space to show off different themes, keep so many various species, and test so many different brands; thats a combination few and far between.

Remy, Raj, and the rest of the team: we appreciate all the work you’ve done on the channel with all of the videos and Reef Therapy pod. This video hits hard, particularly the clips of Jake. It’s incredible how much someone most of us never met is missed as well as the hole that his all-too-early loss has left on this small reefing community, but I’m excited to see the direction that Reef Builders is heading and I believe that Jake would be proud

Thank you for this video, the studio looks great and I'm glad to see it's in proper care. I was a little sad to see the 15 year old black tang got rehomed although I think I understand, he was getting pretty big and probably getting aggressive. Jack is doing a great job and love to see his passion.

Great work! I have 9 tanks at home and it feels like a full time job sometimes but having a dedicated, clean , facility is a dream of mine. Maybe when I retire I can find something like this to work on.

Suggestion for the Reef Builders Team: More videos more often ESPECIALLY in and about the Studio itself. And MORE Jack. The dude is a natural. I feel like we've been gone from the studio (for good reason of course) for too long. It's soooooo good to see it again - makes us feel close to Jake. Also, can we get some updates on the freshwater tanks. Are they still there?

I keep seeing negative comments. It’s sad Jake is gone but imo it’s unreasonable and unfair to hold others up to his standards. It’s time to move on and let people build their own legacies. Jack is amazing. Keep it up

9:55 those are Dipsastraea rosaria, not Goniastrea. Goniastrea have smaller, pale corallites with strong paliform lobes.
11:33 Radianthus magnifica, not ritteri.
11:53 Acanthastrea hillae is a synonym of Homophyllia bowerbanki so it is an unaccepted name.

Where is Evan? Has anyone ever said what happened there.. if so I must have missed it
Well I know that reef builders has a new owner and from what I saw online it looks like they let Evan Montgomery go, I have no idea why I feel like he knew Jake so well and would have carried on Jake's work in a way that Jake would have been proud. Also just wanted to add that I'm not putting anyone down like Remy that has been doing a great job in my opinion I just don't understand why Evan had to be let go.
@@hunterh891 I felt the same way. I figured they would find a way to keep him involved in some way seeing as how he was there to help build up so much of the studio with Jake.. either way I hope he is doing well and Evan if you see this message we miss you
Super disappointed to hear that Evan was let go, if anyone knew what direction to take the RB studio - it would probably be Evan. Seems a bit sad to see RB trend further and further away from the original form. Not intending to bash Murman's Reef and apologies if this comes off a bit abrasive, just enormous shoes to fill.

Sad they got rid of all those corals Jake collected, I feel the corals in the studio are lacking in color and filming doesn't seem as good. Need Evan back to at least guide the new guy. I mean if Evan was letting the studio slip get him some help I'm sure everything over whelmed him.

You’re 100% right in the colors this was filmed 2 months ago! We’ve been chasing color the past month traces are definitely off but they’re getting there!
I helped pack all the corals that were shipped to Polo Reef, we cuts frags of everything Jake collected before they got bagged so that they would still be at the studio.
So, the question that everyone wants to know is what happened to Evan?

Jake leaving ....was / is reminiscent of when Jordan left. The NBA was just not the same ....the reef/ aquarium world ..not as exciting anymore... to me.
It’s definitely different but we can learn from him as well.

Happy to see RB is still kicking but honestly it’s about content - not seeing much to hold interest here. Sorry to hear about Evan, but now the camera work is awful now. You do what you must in business and sometimes you have to burn bridges - but then you better find a replacement as good as or better than what you had. I’ll hang on for a bit, but I’m guessing you’re not going to thrive without offering or than this. Sounds like there was some damage control going on. Ok that happens. Perhaps share what the issues were with the tanks and what you did to solve them. Believe me I have been a huge fan of RB and want to see Jake’s legacy go on, so I hope my opinion will be taken as constructive. Good luck.
I'll take the hit on the "camera work" comment. There are several contributing factors to color and the style of this video but just know I'm on it and will continue to get better. ~Remy
