Thank you to everyone who has been praying for me and sending me heartfelt comments during my hiatus. I'm enjoying my much healthier work/life balance, so my updates in the future will be sporadic. If you want to get notified when I randomly drop a video, subscribe and get notifications to the channel. See you in the next video! czcams.com/channels/NoNEF64ijgxK6OSTwdHOFA.html
Thank you, Irene, welcome back. As a new-ish aquarist, I've learned so much from your videos. I'm glad that you are finding your footing. That balance beam can be tricky, sometimes!
Glad to see you back! Sorry about the loss of your pet. I know that can be tough, especially when you have kids because you have to comfort them and yourself, if that makes sense. I really like this type of video. Most other channels always feature these pristine tanks in perfect condition that look like something out of magazines. Your tank is what real people's tanks look like. Real people have a lot of things going on in our lives, and we don't always have time or energy to spend hours on our tanks. That doesn't make us bad fishkeepers, it just makes us human. Taking small steps over time to bring your tank back to where you want it to be is such a healthy way to approach fishkeeping and life in general in my opinion. Thank you! And I think the 'java fern monster' will look really cool when it grows out!
Welcome back! I was happy when Corey mentioned you still work for AC a few weeks ago. No pressure at all, just post whenever you feel up to it and take care.
I get falling behind due to health. It’s a constant in my life and the guilt is the worst. Happy for you that things are getting better and praying for many more blessings to you and your loved ones.
planted tanks are the only reason i can stay in this hobby despite similar health issues, they can usually maintain themselves for months on end without any fish dying- but lack of maintenance does strain all the organisms in that system.
So sorry for the loss of your pet 😢 very admirable that you are keeping up with your responsibilities and taking care of yourself at the same time. Big hugs!!!
When you called the aquarium lid “grodey” I laughed. I don’t hear that much anymore. I grew up in the late 80s and we used it a lot then lol. Enjoyed the video, very satisfying!
I also have a neglected aquarium😅 excited to see a new video!! ETA: I’m so sorry to hear of your pet loss. Grief can be so overwhelming so please remember to take care of yourself❤
So sorry to hear about your family pet 💖. I loved your idea for collecting all those java fern plantlets. It was satisfying to watch all that mulm be cleaned up. Great to see you! I am definitely a victim of analysis paralysis haha. I've been trying to workshop ideas for content for over a year now 😅😅😅
I've missed you. Might I suggest a group of 3 Amano Shrimp. Mine move that mulm all around and pick at algae. I think they would be a nice addition to the tank and will help out a bit. Welcome back!
Same here. My nano tank had a heat emergency while I vacationed (no fish, only snails and plants). Snails mostly died and caused excess nutrients and vast quantities of hair algae. Which in fact is part of recycling the tank. Now it has happy baby fish in it. No filter. Gotta keep the plankton alive, too.
So glad to see you are back. I always enjoy your videos. Glad to hear your health is improving. Showing the work on this tank is actually like working on life. Commit to making small changes over time until you get things in balance. Wishing you the best for continued progress.
Glad you're back! Sporadic videos are just fine. I sporadically watch them anyways. But I'm sooo glad you're back! You live near me and keep similar tanks. (Unique, smaller fish, low maintenance). You're content is accurate. It's so helpful watching you knowing you have the challenges of softer water, dry air, ect.
Yay! Happy to see your lovely self today! I'm so sorry about your family pet 💔 Thank you for showing us this new routine, your tank is looking great and Iove the idea of gluing a bunch of java fern to one rock for a really full look! Definitely going to try that, too! Take care, can't wait to see your next one!
So happy to see a new video from you. Healing vibes and love to you, I’m sorry you are going through such a time of it and I hope life will be kinder to you soon.
Well hello im so glad your back. I hope you keep recovering from being sick and start feeling 100 again. Tank is looking good. Keep up the work. Thanks for sharing
I'm really glad you came back! You are actually the MAIN person who got me deeply into the aquarium hobby. You convinced me to get my beautiful hillstream loaches! I'm glad you're back!
Always lovely to have a new video of yours to watch! I was thinking about you the other day when CZcams suggested one of your videos. Welcome you popping in ❤
thank you for sharing! I also have neglected my tank, algae took over and I need to redo it. Thank you again for uploading great content for fish keeping.😊👍🏼🐠🌱
Great to see you Irene. You were instrumental in me setting up my first fish tank. I always learn something from your videos. Thanks for being yourself and showing the reality of life & tanks. All the best ❤
Glad to see you posted a new video. Hope you do well with your health and all other aspects of your life. Thanks for doing such useful videos with the aquarium hobby. It's made my intro to it much easier.
I was just watching your videos yesterday and wondering when you’d be back 😊 Amazing to have you back xX hope you’re feeling better 9:55 I’m so sorry for your loss, sending lots of love
Irene!!!!!! 👋💌 It's so wonderful to see you!! Thank you for taking us along and all the updates! Sending hugs and love to you and your family 💙🩵💚 P.S. I love the Java fern rock! 😁
Thanks for the tutorial, I really appreciate it! I’ve been fishkeeping and watching your videos for a few years now. I also let one of my tanks build up malm and algae and I was trying to research how to go about cleaning it up. Your vid was right on time ❤
Your videos have substance and I find the information reliable. I have personally used the snail ridding formula which you have previously described a number of times. Keep up the good work
Those El Niño ferns are tied at the rhizome with black thread and they are usually already dying as soon as you get them. That’s why they put out so many babies as soon as you get them. You should remove the black thread from the base of the mother plant.
This is such a real video, thank you for sharing the realities of life happening and tank maintenance getting away. And that its possible to spring back!
It's recoverable. I thought i might get to see a video of how to breakdown an aquarium and rebuild with minimal effects in livestock. It's so difficult with only 1 tank in the house and actually a dropping point for so many people.
FYI for *algae on anubius leaves..... ottocinclus, the lil suckerfish, they cleaned mine right off* in the quarantine tank. it was amazing. i didn't think it was possible. i'd hand-scrubbed before and the stuff didn't budge. AND, forget snails, these guys power cleaned my glass, too in like 3 days it was pristine.
So wonderful to see a new video from you - your videos are always great to watch! 🙂 May the Lord bless you and your family as you continue to find your way forward. ❤️
Hi Irene good to see you back, you are one of the very few channels that I actually look forward to for new videos. I hope you feel better soon, take it easy. :-)
Happy yo see you doing what you can at the pace that makes sense for you. Keep taking things day by day and one waterchange at a time. Wishing for the best for you. 😁
Welcome back! I have always loved your videos. You were missed. It impresses me how open you are with us. Showing the pros and cons of fishkeeping. I'm sorry that you have not been feeling well. I'm glad that you feel better now. Currently I have no fish. I got burnt out. Life has been extra stressful and maintaining my fish became a dreaded chore. I still enjoy fish. I like learning about different species of fish. I'm just taking a break. I'll come back to the hobby at a more convenient time. Anyway, I am delighted that you are back. 🐟🐟🐟🐠🐠🐠🐡🐡🐡🐌🐌🐌🐌🐌 (Gina)
