Jesse James' bigger booth and new gun at SHOT 2017

- Jesse James is finally getting the recognition he deserves. He's out of his small booth and into a bigger, better booth at SHOT Show 2017. He's on backorder for a year and he's got some nice new models.
James has been making guns for the last four years under the name Jesse James Firearms Unlimited, or JJFU.
"The resistance to us being in the industry is almost non-existent." James says. "People realize, 'wait, he's not going away and he's doing nice stuff. Just kill 'em with quality."
James has a new rifle that's California, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts and New Jersey compliant. "It's like a proper trench-gun." It's 5.56mm and is meant to handle like an AR-15 but without certain features to make it compliant.
According to James, the new rifle will retail for around $4,500.

Agreed, it looks like straight-up Steam-punk/something out of Serenity type aesthetics and I actually LOVE it. Kind of an AR meets Mini-14 thing (although there's another company doing AR's like this already but not to this level) to dodge the nanny-culture/anti-gun dumbfuckery in those states (I'm actually REALLY nervous about what the new Oregon Gov. elect, the insane Kate Brown and her parade of SJW/Professional-Victim type politics, is going to do in 2017 too on a scary note). Really a cool design although it's about the only thing I like in that booth... Everything else is just too gaudy or trying too hard to be different. Still, LVOE that "AR"/Ranch-Rifle hybrid.

Does that Damascus machine well using solid carbide or did you have to use diamond impregnated tools? looks fantastic, . I have thought about making one before but thought Damascus would be to hard as I have made a Damascus muzzle brake once and it was a pain machining

My favorite gun I've ever seen and held was a hundred and fifty year old break down Austrian shot gun. The barrels were riffled and engraved from one end to the other.

It's highly arguable as to whether or not that is actually NY legal. One could describe it as having an integrated muzzle brake/compensator. The SAFE Act doesn't say that it has to be a separate component to be banned. Some will say that it's just a ported barrel, so it's OK, but that's an argument that you might end up having to make in court. (Note: if you don't want to comply, then that's certainly your right, but there are much better ways to that than this.)
