I've been knitting for the past few months and creating my own patterns has been the part of the process I'm enjoying the most so I want to share with you what I've learned so far. This video is basically the "give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime" moto but for knitting 😅
This video gives you all the tools you need to create your own knitting pattern for an oversized cardi and to make the whole process easier I created a file where you can insert all of your measurements, swatch details and the calculations you'll make to figure out how many rows and stitches you need to knit at each step.

Thank you very much for sharing this with us! It's something that I've been looking for but couldn't find anywhere, and couldn't figure out. I tried eyeballing the measurements but felt so insecure with my decisions that ended up redoing it a thousand times and finally leaving it.

yesss i started crochet/knitting in order to make a cardigan! how long would it take you to make this?
It depends on how fast you knit and how large your needles are but around 1 to 2 weeks for the size I made 🤗
