Great topic Ron! You make some excellent points. For me and probably the majority of light show builder, I only spend. I don't sell anything, don't accept anything, I just do it to please my wife and Golden Retriever. People come by ever year and watch. I hope they enjoy it but not required. I am like advertising for the vendors I buy from and the musicians I buy music from. Guys like me are true non profits. My hope is that AI will help guys like me develop sequences so we can add to our displays without hemorrhaging cash!
I found Chat GPT couldn't create a pallet from a movie as well as sampling colours from a movie still but when I asked it to come up with 8 magical colours it gave me a gorgeous pallet I never would have come up with myself. Great tool.
Dude... dude...DUDE! Just having Chat GPT help come up with a color palette for a song is so helpful. Thanks for another great video and useful ideas.

Fantastic video as always, Ron! I think the jury is still out (literally) regarding AI and copyright. There are a couple of cases working their way through the courts right now. The plaintiffs' argument is that the AI companies should compensate artists when their work is used for training AI models, which hasn't been the case thus far (most of the existing models train with millions of images scraped off the Internet). Like you, I think music copyright is the area we need to be most mindful of at this point.
Yes, I can understand how the artists feel and have me somewhat conflicted.
Once you figure out how to ask chat GPT how to make a complete sequence let us know.

Hello, how do you get those color settings in xlights? When I double click a color mine is what I am assuming is the default.
Since I use a Mac computer I get different options for colors. Windows is a bit different.
Ron, I followed your video all the way to loading down the AI HEX colors, but when I open the color palette in xlights I don't get the dropdown to insert the HEX code.
Unfortunately, this is not available pm Windows yet.
As if creating sequences weren't rabbit holes enough on their own. AI can be so cool yet so intimidating. I hope you figure it out for us all.
