    Dear professor,
Thank you very much for this video. This was very informative. I would like to add 2 more points:
    1) PhD can help you bypass the immigration hassles. If you have enough publications, you can be eligible for EB1 category which has no wait list. Also, you can apply for O1 visa (no lottery) and not H1b. Also, a lot of jobs in academia are open for you and you need not go through H1b lottery if you get such a job.
    2) PhD is not everyone’s cup of tea. You need a lot of perseverance, determination as well as above average IQ to complete it. So only those who are thoroughly interested and willing to put these efforts should apply.

    Hello Professor,
I am a Master's student in the U.S. Can you make a video on pursuing a Ph.D. program in the U.S. versus Germany? Because both countries offer free tuition fees. But in the case of Germany, it is good from the Immigration perspective. Also, can you define the audience of the Ph.D. program? Who exactly should consider pursuing a Ph.D. program ??

I don’t agree with you. Without knowing basics in Sciences no point of doing MS. Only advantage is about PhD is getting scholarship and no tuition fees as Supervisors pay your fees. Disadvantage of PhD is if you don’t clear qualifying exam then you are out of the course. If you have done MS then there is advantage for you .

the world is evolving upon research but it is too undefeated in terms of financial compensation, just for example, if two peers after completing their bachelors graduated 2009 one joined a decent company and saved $25K on the first year and invested it on amazon ( its the first company clicked in my mind so things may vary) stock price 100$ so 250 stocks which now would worth 30X more @ $3000~ so his return would be now 750K, and wait ! this is only o/p of 1 year of saving if you do this for consistently for 10 years you will be ahead 3M$ ahead figure may be exaggerated but it's practical.
