Loved this album as a teenager, with "We Danced Anyway" and "That's How You Know It's Love" being on my forever playlist. A couple of days ago though, I started at track 1 and played straight through the album, "To The Other Side". Such a great album, paired with so many memories!

Every time I hear this, I'm transported back to 1997 when times were personally great for me! It takes me back to when my parents and I took a vacation to Maine in August of 1997 and also the Fall of that year when I started middle school. :) It's just a beautiful, feel good song, overall, and I love how joyfully Deana sings it. I miss being able to hear songs like this on the radio so much!
Yeah, I can hear this as an alternative or soft rock song if it had slightly different instrumentation. A lot of late 90s/early 2000s country has the same feel, which is one of the things I love about country from that era.
