Enjoyed your video, it looked like it wld be easy. I have a question. When the door is down, am I able to set it so I can just raise the garage door like one foot? That is if I am not home and trying to get air to circulate in garage. Thk you.
When the door is down you can hit the button then when you want the door to stop just hit the button again and it will stop..that only works when the door is going up, if the door is on the way down and you hit the button it will go back up.
Hello sir ! Thanks for this very informative video. I believe I have the exact same model as yourself. All of a sudden today, the door decided to stop around 20" short of fully closing. It was working fine in my new home of 4 months till now. Could this be the closing limit switch nearer the garage door being faulty ? I have little experience with garage door openers. What model number do you have and what would my first step be in fixing this issue ? Any help would be appreciated.... Thanks !
That sounds like the limit switch but hard to say without seeing it.check the switch at the down side to make sure it aint broke or dragging. make sure its tight also.. check the wire to make sure its not broke also make sure its in the right place and didnt creep up the screw hense checking to see if its tight.last resort get a new switch they are not expensive at all. hopes this helps! www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004CAN18W/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It doesnt work at all? just changing the switch shouldnt do that. try pulling the door disconnect and move the door then try it, if you still get nothing that sounds like you have no power or something is wrong with the unit. you can also try disconnecting the new switch just to see if thats it but I dont think so.
This is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for the tutorial!
Your welcome..Glad it helped!!!

That's easy
Does it have a limit switch on the other end cause when mine closes the motor continues to run
yes there will be one at both ends.
I just changed my limit switch but when I wanted to lift the door it doesn't work and it's a new limit switch. What is the problem? Thanks
