What if the panels are too tight against each other? Is that even possible? One of our panels seems to bow when the door comes up and then when it's closing it makes the whole thing "pop" back out and shakes the whole thing. Hopefully that makes sense. Would you suggest the same type of adjustment for the big loud pop happening when lowering the door? Thanks.

Just what I was looking for my garage door is 24yrs. Old put on a wall mount garage door motor lift so the top garage door panel has a small gap one can see a little sun thru it the rest of the garage panels seated tightly i was looking for some help on this of the garage panels setting or adjustment thanks for showing this I’ll try this setting of garage door panels and see if the top panel to set it self tightly like the other panels when the garage door is closed again thanks for the info of garage door setting have a good day

Hey everybody, I'm dealing with recurring P2004 codes after replacing both of the solenoids and clearing codes multiple times. The Mazda workshop manual has a full diagnostic procedure for checking all elements of the system - the solenoid operation, the actuator, the vacuum hoses, electrical connections, voltage levels. You may get lucky to have one of these solenoids fail and have it fixed after replacing that, but it's as likely that it won't be the problem. Do yourself a favor and download the workshop manual for your car and follow the step by step diagnostic procedure. For my situation, I'm now down to troubleshooting the actuator after verifying that the new solenoids are working right and the wiring to them is intact. (The actuator is what moves the butterfly valves in the engine with that vacuum pressure - and it has a switch inside it which tells the computer if the valve is open or closed, and a bad signal from it will trigger this code).

I can't believe you did all that work just to replace the valve with another plastic one! Unbelievable.

There's only one bank in inline engines. The other solenoid would be bank 1b. Bank 2 is when you have a second manifold like on V engines.

Going thru all that trouble and replaced with a plastic valve ?????

It's may of 2024 and the problem has yet to be fixed. Iam not going to pay $200 dollars for a disk that some dumbass engineer screwed up.

So I replaced both of the intake manifold runner solenoids and I’m still seeing the code even after clearing it, could that point to a faulty part? Or some other issue? Bad vacuum lines?

I have an 04 mazda 3, 173 thou mi. For 4 yrs now ive been having what seems to be a common problem with the tail lights. From doing research there seem to be a faulty relay thst i wont be able to get in the ecm. My mazda lights will turn on when its cool or after about 20 minutes running. Ive seen so many ways that people have fix the problem including changing the ecm. Please update. I would love to know more!!! Also my AC compressor is also gone...its too hot in FL for me to be driving around with just windows down..

Thanks I have just followed this procedure (no power washer, just hose) and the rugs are drying as we speak. It was easier than I thought it would be. And a good way to spend a 90 degree afternoon.

I changed mine yesterday and yhe p2004 and p2009 is still there. What else could it be?

I ran it and disconnected each Solenoid. just conecting and disconnecting the wire plug over and over The first one was clicking and the second one was not so that tells me the second one is dead. The obd2 is telling me it the first one. not sure why maybe its a fluke. just orderd the replacement Solenoid we will see what happens.
