I know! I read TID after CoHF so I didn't get it at first but then I was like: Way to go Jessamine. Though you fell for Nate's charms, you made up for it by protecting the London Institute from Sebastian

I was glad for reading the TID series first than this book because in the moment I was reading that something unknown protected the London Institute I screamed JESSAMINE
I cried really hard when Emma sees a tapestry on the wall, where Jace and Clary stand in front of the angel. That's when it hit me: a thousand years from that moment, other Shadowhunters would still remember their names and what they did. They'll be eternal.
Well, maybe not. After all, Clary and Jace had no idea who Tessa, Will, and Jem were.

So I was in my school library the other day, and I've read CoHF many times on my kindle, but I was bored so I picked up my schools book version, AT THE VERY END IN COMIC BOOK STYLE WAS TESSA AND JEMS WEDDING IN LONDON IN 2009 AND JACE AND CLARY AND MAGNUS AND ALEC AND IZZY AND SIMON WERE THERE!!!! AND BEST OF ALL, WILL, IN SOME SORT OF GHOST VERSION!!! *cries tears of happiness*

I really liked this book. I was hysterically crying at the simon part. My favorite part of the book was when Alec Said he wouldnt make pie and then he said "Because Im not your Bitch"

Sebastian has to be my all time favorite character ever in any book. Why?
1. I've always liked villians (especially complex ones)
2. Thanks to his demon blood it felt like Sebastian was destined to be evil even if he didn't want to be, even if there was potential to be good he was doomed. That made his character for me personally a lot more complicated. Like when in CoLs he asked clary if it was possible that someone like him could be redeemed/loved. Someone who by nature is evil with no say. It felt like he almost needed clary to love him in any way so that the Jonathan side shine a little more so he wouldn't be evil. Is it evil to want to be seen has more than a monster? More than what everyone and everything tells you you are? And by all people your sister! I mean he was willing to stop the war for that chance. But since he has demon blood he doesn't truly understand what love is, because he physically and mentally can't. Anyhow that's why I loved Sebastian.
He is my favorite character! I actually feel bad for me in the entire series...all he needed was someone to love him, his dad tortured him, his mom rejected him and clary his only saviour rejected him ;-;.......sometimes i like to imagine if Jocelyn got jonathan would he be a loving brother? ;-; also since demon blood scorches shadowhunters...what if all his life he felt pain scorching through his veins? Thats why in the end he said Ive never felt so light ;-;
THE LORD MONTGOMERY SCENE THO. IT WAS SO FUNNY AND THE SIZZY LEVELS WERE ON FULL BLAST AND IT WAS AWESOME

For whom i have always felt a certain affinity" like I don't remember tessa caring much for the blackthornes in tid so could that be foreshadowing something in the series that cassandra Clare is writing about tessa's children!?
I think it is - the blurb for Chain of Thorns on Goodreads talks about the Blackthorns.

I absolutely love your enthusiasm with these books. It makes the reviews laughable and very entertaining. I just finished the book yesterday (FINALLY!) and I could not stop smiling and having mini squeals every time something awesome happened. I absolutely loved it!! It's probably my favorite one. I have to say what surprised me most was my feelings towards Sebastian at the end. I hated Sebastian with a passion. Some people said they felt sympathetic for him throughout the other books but I couldn't stand him because he seemed so impossible to kill. But then when Johnathan actually came to the surface after all the evil burned away I ACTUALLY felt sympathetic for him and I didn't think that was possible. Overall, I absolutely loved the book and honestly have no complaints whatsoever. It was so good!
You have no idea how much I've been looking forward to this bookchat, I have literally been checking CZcams daily to see if Christine had uploaded it yet.
And it was worth the wait, I love all the other booktubers but nobody else manages to capture the enthusiasm and passion that Christine expresses in her video!

Also, I agree with the Christine thing. She is my favorite because she is really enthusiastic and very hyper like me! I also have an over exaggeration for the stories no matter what I'm reading.
If you look at Cassie Clare's Goodreads page you'll see a book titled "Simon Lewis Secret Project" And I am SO EXCITED! And there is a couple of Shadowhunter series that are currently untitled. I am hoping one of them is about Jace and Clary running the New York institute or something. But that's probably wishful thinking.
I so wanted for Julian and Emma to have some sort of romantic relationship in TDA. I could just feel that they were meant for each other later on in their lives you know.
I have a feeling we will see the Unseelie Queen and her faeries in TDA. Unseelie fey are supposed to be even more evil than the Seelie faeries. I'm excited ahhh

The one part i found really intriguing was when jace and clary were going to have sex in the demon realm, and jace just happened to have some condoms.
So when hes packing to go to a home dimension of demons where there is an incredibly high chance he will die, where hes going to have to face the biggest threat to shadowhunters there ever was, and they dont know what they could face......he decides he needs condoms.........
jace seems like the type though to always have condom on him at all times
