This was great as we often play in different level of leagues. The section on the lead was great because that's where we get new curlers. They get their weight down after a while, but the aim takes longer. Lighter weight take outs are great because the brushers have a chance to make a difference.

I'm a new skip in the business, less then 10 years of playing experience we are playing twice a week and have a lot of fun, playing way higher then expected, but sometimes I have hesitation in my calls...1 case particularly, bringing a 3rd rock when the first 2 are split and T-lined...where would be the best option and why. Avoid freeze or avoid the draw around?
    Thanks very helpful!

I have a question about raising guards into the house...more specifically, promoting a guard on the Lead, Second or even the Vice stones. My thinking is that a raise on a Skip rock is played likely so that they can: 1) become shot rock, 2) shrink the scoring area for the opposite team, or 3) play a light tick-type of shot so both the guard and shooter are counters. Can you provide some scenarios where promoting a guard is a good tactic for the first half or so of an end?
