Great video, most informative and interesting. Pity that you did not visit Lacock's main attraction, Lacock Abbey, with its links to early photography.
P.S. It is widely debated here, but the jam goes on the scone first, then the cream!

Another informative video! I am planning a trip to England for September 2024, and you are the first vloggers to mention Lacock! I'm wondering if I may need to do an overnight in Bath - the complete tour looks like it was very nice, but wonder if it isn't enough time to really see all of the sites?
Thank you! We took this particular tour because we wanted to see Windsor, Stonehenge and Bath in one day because that’s what fit our own travel schedule and time constraints. We were happy to see all of these sites, but that said, there’s definitely much more to see in Bath than we had time for during our tour stop. If you’re able to do an overnight in Bath, you’ll find no shortage of fun things to see and do. You can tour the Roman baths, see Bath Abbey, check out the local architecture and maybe visit some of the nature parks. Not to mention, there’s lots of fun shops, restaurants and cafés. One of my favorite spots was Topping and Co. Bookstore. I could’ve spent hours there alone! Good planning your trip next year! Hope you have a wonderful time!

I enjoyed the video but can I make one request. The Union flag, at 0:45, commonly known as the Union Jack, is flying upside down. If possible, perhaps you could correct that in future videos? The broad white stripe should be at the top when flapping out from the poll. The narrow stripe signifies a ship in distress.
So many Americans rush around Britain, see lots of sights…..but don’t really see anything. I get that time is limited but if I travel, I would much rather only see one place per day if I means I can really make the most of that place.

Thanks so much for the kind words! I don’t think there were washrooms on the bus, but there were restrooms at each stop we made. If you aren’t doing the tour and are just picking a place to see on your own with kids, I suggest either Windsor Castle (so much to see, in addition to the cute village of Windsor with shops and restaurants) or Stonehenge (such an iconic place and there’s a visitor center/exhibit center/cafe).

How long they let you explore in Lacock? That is a very nice village
Yes, Lacock is lovely. We had dinner there and then had about an hour to explore on our own before getting back on the bus. We arrived there later in the day, so many of the shops were already closed, but it was still nice strolling through the picturesque streets. If you’re planning to take a group tour here, I suggest contacting the tour operators directly and asking what their intended schedule is. Good luck!

Yes, the tour we booked included the entrance tickets.
I plan to take a day trip to Windsor place and Stonehenge. The tour option is to pay the admission to Stonehenge. Is that option is to visit exhibition or the Stonehenge monument . Thank you!
Hi. If you’re asking whether our tour package included admission to the stones and the Stonehenge museum, I think the answer is yes. We chose to spend more time at the stones and didn’t even try seeing the museum. Hope that helps!

@chckzchck If you’re ok walking the 1-mile trail (one way) to Stonehenge and seeing it from afar, you can technically see Stonehenge for free. Your paid admission will get you slightly closer to the stones for a better view.

@missmitchmariel3730 It’s optional to go into the Roman baths, so you’d have to pay extra.
How long did you have at each spot??
Hi Tim. We had about a couple of hours at each spot. It’s a great tour option if you you’re short on time and you want to see a handful of great stops in a single day. However, for people who prefer a more leisurely pace of travel, they might consider alternative options. We liked it because we wanted to see as much as possible.

Me and my friend want to do this tour but are hesitant about being with the tour group the entire time. Are we allowed to explore Windsor castle, Stonehenge, or the town of Bath by ourselves and then return to the tour group?
Hi. It will depend on your tour operator and guide, but our experience was that we did have time at each place on our own. Usually about an hour or so to wander around before meeting up with the group again. I suggest contacting the operator directly to confirm. Hope you have a great time on your trip!

This tour doesn't include admission to the baths, do you feel like it would be worth adding or not enough time and you can just see the city
Hi! For the limited time we had there, we opted not to wait in line for the baths. I just checked the Roman Baths website and it recommends 90 minutes to 2 hours to see everything. I don’t think we would have had enough time to enjoy the baths without rushing. That’s why we opted to use our time in Bath to explore the town by walking around. There were a few people in our group who did pay to see the Roman Baths, so I think it’s doable if you don’t mind rushing.
Since it’s a full day tour, wouldn’t you be arriving at one of the locations at night time in the dark?
Our last stop was the town of Lacock for dinner. Our trip was in May and there was still some daylight by the time we got there. If there’s a particular tour you’re interested in, I suggest reaching out to the operator directly and asking about their schedule and estimated arrival times at each location. Hope that helps!

Did y’all feel like you got enough time at each location?
Hi Brian. That’s a good question. I feel like we spent enough time at each location to make the tour worth it, considering we wanted to see all these locations in one day. That said, the tour does go at an efficient pace and there’s not a whole lot of time to just hang out at each place. If we were driving to these locations on our own, we would definitely spend more time at each place. More specifically, I’d spend an extra couple of hours at Windsor so I could see the village, I’d spend an extra hour at Stonehenge to see the museum and I could easily spend the whole day just walking around Bath. So, that’s a long answer to your question. Yes, I feel satisfied with how much time we spent at each place, given the single day we dedicated to this. However, this tour might not be the best option for people who prefer a more relaxed pace. Hope that helps!

@yessi4499 You’re welcome! That’s exciting that you’re planning a family trip there soon! Please note that the original trip itinerary only included a short time in Lacock, for lunch, but our particular guide decided to rearrange the schedule so that we’d have dinner in Lacock. I would say we had a couple of hours for dinner. We walked around Lacock a bit, but most stores were closed by then. But the Harry Potter filming locations shown in this video are visible from the street with no open/close hours. Hope that helps set your expectations bc the usual itinerary only has a short lunch in Lacock. I suggest contacting the company directly for more info. Happy travels!
