    The first point ever in Laver cup history. Brilliant point won by Marin Cilic to kickstart the beginning of this wonderful new tournament.

    The best idea in tennis in years. I'm so hyped for this to keep going trough the years. Btw they are taking this pretty seriously. I love the talks between Roger an Rafa and also doing a bit of the captain role.

      Seascorp Scorpio too much action...will be bad for grass and fast hard courts where the ball comes in quick

    They should had organized this tournament in the 90s. Imagine how strong Team World would be. You got Agassi, Sampras, Chang, Courier. I'm not saying Team Europe would be weak but it would have been more interesting than this.

      @telmolicious Před 6 lety +1

      Hmm.. Early 90s yes. Then team Europe would still have Edberg, Becker and Lendl (until 92). But in the late 90s it would def. Have been the US vs team world. There were hardly any European GS contenders Except for on clay and Krajicek and Kafelnikov. If they held the tournament on Clay it would be competitive though.
      The best time would have been the late 70s. Borg, Nastase and Lendl vs Mac, Jimbo and Vilas ;)

    This for all the naysayers: as you can see, they're taking this tournament very seriously.

      The winning team and the losing team have a 250000 USD difference in Prize money. After splitting you seriously think they cared because of the money?

    I love Tiafoe, he's definitely the future of American Tennis, but the forehand technique needs to be addressed.
