Damn that’s a nice S-10. Nothing sexier than a 7” cowl on a black s-10. Too mean looking. . And it looked like a low 8second pass. So it’s fast to match
@@406Sonoma I bought the truck back in 2007 then had to redo the entire cage, how it was all mounted, etc... I had a 749.7RWHP naturally aspirated BBC in it with a built powerglide and a 3,800 stall. Had 4 link, big tire, 4.56 gear, big fuel cell, etc. Apparently the guy i traded with in Tennessee fck'd up the motor somehow (not sure how) and was messaging me through email about how the motor was junk. I was like guy that motor is solid, what did you do to it. Lol. Brand new everything and I made 2 passes in it on the street and it ran an easy 9.80 with me in it letting out way early and a 9.49 with my buddy in it and he had let out early as well. I know the truck was set up and would run an 8 second quarter mile easy, but i am sure the guy took it all apart cuz that is what he said he was going to do so not sure what shape your buddy bought it in and may he rest in peace. I traded the S10 for a 1983 Olds Cutlass Super Pro car with a 355 on methanol. Supoose to be a 10 second bracket car, but it had bent pushrods from them adjusting the rockers down too tight and that ended up messing up the lifters and camshaft. So once I replaced all that I took it to the track in Baytown,Texas and the line lock solenoid stopped working first pass and other issues kept arising so I took it home and traded it off.
Wow you really don't know? You never heard of boring and stroking an engine to get more cubic inches? Chevy back in 1970 made a 400ci small block engine thats already more cubic inches then the big block chevy 396ci. Boring and stroking the 396ci big block engine to a 454ci big block engine, and went even more cubic inches than that on the same block. But you can only bore and stroke so far on a factory block. The maxium boring and stroking on a factory chevy 400ci was up to a 434ci. He probably used the Bill Mitchell's Motown aftermarket small block to get that 440ci. Technolgy has changed they make quite a few after market small blocks and big blocks to bore and stroke them for even more cubic inches. Here look these up on the internet, Big-Buck Small-Block Solution - Motown Magic, 1005.8ci Godfather Big Block Engine - The Biggest Rat Ever!, CFE Develops 600-cubic-inch Small-block Engine.

Sick.
I owned this truck at one point. Lol. Had a 468/glide in it, 33" slicks, 4.56 gear, 4-link, ladder bars, coilovers, etc...
Now it has a small block twin turbo on small tires.
@@406Sonoma where did you buy it from?
My buddy Joe bought it but since then he passed away so my other buddy bought it and does no prep with it. Did you build it?

LS4.8 Frank When he bought it it had a 458 sbc. With 3 kits on it.
What kind of motor do u have in there?
Is this a tube chassis truck?
Couldn't read the time, but took off like a 8.90 car.
wow..........that shit is STRONG.
The ear rape is INTENSE XD
The build up though.
What year s10 is this
why's the idle so high? my 565 roller cam motpr would idle at 700
What size rear tires
that won s10
It's a 440 sbc on 2 foggers. Roughly 1300 hp.
Eddie Saddler 91?
1300 HP ?
I'd guess 750 with the juice
How can a 440 still be considered a small block? I'm still trying to figure out why that is a small black and a 396 is a big block?

@@99prochargedbird85 I know about bore and stroking obviously, I guess it all comes down to what block you started with
that s10 is pissed
