Trish, you always do the BEST recaps of your trips; your voice was made to do this. Thanks for taking me (and everyone else) along on this wonderful trip to Italy. So many fantastic things to see and enjoy, but what I took away from this more than anything was the joy you experienced sharing this journey with your best friends. Grazie Mille!
Italian here, a tip about ATM. only use the one attached to an actual Bank branch, NEVER EVER use those you find scuttled around newsstands, souvenir shops etc., those are mostly scams. It apply for sure here in Italy but I saw the same in many other EU countries.
Thanks for the tip.😊
We went to Italy for a month back in the 90s. We used backpacks and I recommend taking enough for a week or two. The secret is pack enough undies for two weeks and outfits for one week and POLYESTER is key. It dries fast and you can wash a shirt or skirt in a hotel sink-it’ll be dry in the morning. We also used laundromats when available. Black, white and neutral colors you can mix. One pair sandals, one pair sneakers, one pair dress shoes (sandals could double as dress shoes for women). Rolling clothes makes packing easier and can help with wrinkles, but polyester eases wrinkles quickly so no problem. Black has the advantage for not showing stains either, so you look good even if you’re not super spotless! Great series, thumbs up.👍
Caleb said it best about 5 years ago, when he was asked by the Customs Officer regarding what he was bringing back into the U.S. from his trip to Canada...... "Memories and joy!"
Thanks Marc and fam.
I've been watching your family's adventures for years! This series has been incredible, a real treat for a fellow in the heart of the USA!! I live in KC MO, !! Thanks for your time, your beautiful videography, and the authentic nature of your travels via your CZcams channel!
I agree with Marc ... "Stumble across" is the only way to travel ... We did that in Costa Rica. The only thing we made reservations was the airplane to get there & come home. The 'in-the-middle' was a blast. We thought we'd hunker down at a beach but instead we ended up in La Fortuna & spend the entire 20 day there.
Awesome-If there’s a next trip to Italy I hope you get to Capri, Positano, Amalfi, & Ravello. Stole me heart over all the other parts of Italy. Glad you had a blast!
Wonderful recap, I had so much fun these last few weeks traveling Italy and I wasn’t even there …..so thank you !!!!
Blessings
Loved this series so much you guys. I’m with Mark. I want to control when and where we go regardless of cost. Well done.
This was a great follow up! Awesome trip!
Great recap! Cant wait for your next adventure.
Happy Sunday funday KYD Family!!! Love this video… one day I will go to Italy!!
Thank you Marc & Trish for the wonderful videos! ❤
Was recently there so I get it.. loved Italy. My wife and I did Rome, Florence, Cinque Terre, Milan and Venice. Train system is reliable and pretty much on time. Train station can be super crowded and confusing, specially in Rome. Thanks for the awesome trip down memory lane. You guys are great..
Excellent video, thanks for sharing your trip! Everything is better with friends.
I’m trust your insight since I watched many of your RV travels
Yay! Love Keep Your Daydream!
Outstanding review of Italy! Love all the little tips as well as talking about the best time to go. Saving this for when planning my trip. Italy on top of my bucket list, however, our travel buds chose Scotland for the biggie this year. Hopefully Italy sooner than later!
Your * playlists are a gem 💎! But the continuation of KYD video 'blasts' 🎉 each new week is darling stupendous💝. The 'avante garde' of Italy review summary was excellent & put a smile on my face from "corner to corner", exploring oasis! *Fantastico*
Such a good job on this recap, makes me want to start planing my next trip!
Watching this week from Palermo, Sicily :) We are spending six weeks here before going to mainland Italy. Two years ago we hit all the big cities and did all the must sees and do's (we're Canadian and we got to come at the end of covid when it was virtually empty)and this time it's about taking our time. Sicily is awesome and the food....well, aranchina!😋 Enough said. Ciao!
Thank you for this recap. Wishing you great travels back in the States.
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed these last few weeks on KYD in Italia! I lived in Northern Italy 🇮🇹 for two years back in the ‘80’s. Your trip made me homesick. It’s time for a trip!
We're Americans but have lived in Italy for the last 2yrs and have done our share of traveling here. But we've really enjoyed your Italy series. Thanks for sharing!
I am currently living in Italy for the next few years. I will definitely use your tips and destinations during my stay. Thank you!
Good video I like you going around and showing me what places look like I'm looking forward to seeing your next video
Thank you for sharing your adventure. Blessings
Recap was marvelous Trish!
The adventure IS the destination😁
Thank you for a great recap ❤
Thanks for the great summer trip
Fantastic wrap up of Italy
Enjoyed the Italy episodes!
Hear you loud and clear on the moving of the bags!
Thanks for the tips on cooking pasta and that episode.
I’ve been using more water and salt and taking the pasta from the water to the sauce! Better!
I thoroughly enjoyed this Italy trip. You really did a outstanding job on your experience from a to z. I don't think I would go to all those places. I just want to relax, do the food thing you did making the pasta, being out in the countryside, and a little shopping. I'm not for crowds so it was so helpful with everything you showed each week. I look forward to your next adventures. Thank you for doing this. So when is off season in Italy and a less crowed time with decent weather? Until next episode have a great adventurous week and safe travels!❤😊
Thank you for this adventure.
i really appreciate that you gave the date of your trip. I try to plan trips with the videos that i watch and would like to know the dates for the type of weather in the different locations.
I think the biggest takeaway here is plan your trip thoroughly, know what the roads will be like, go to places that interest you not appease the fomo checklist, a hotel may be more reliable than an airbnb/vrbo, pack light but pack a smile!! 😃
Great tips great vid. Thanks
I’m jealous guys! Thanks for taking us along. See you at Buc Ees!
It really looked like an amazing trip.
We have the same charger and we love it especially for cruises.
Outstanding!!
Just finished watching live Someday. Guess you guys are there 1 month early. Will be interesting how you guys pair up. Love the narration while watching video. Beautiful voice. Well done
Would just go ahead and adopt me, please! Y’all have so much fun! Always amazing and informative. Keep traveling.
Fantastic! You gotta work it corner to corner!!
Awesome recap and great tips. Having lived in Italy the shoulder seasons are the way to go. While their are many “must see” historical areas the best times are off the beaten tourist areas. So, I would suggest you pick some of your top 10 and then get off the beaten path.
Love your style! ❤
Awesome video as usual.
You inspired me to go to Italy! I want to go to Spain, Ireland and Scotland….. I just need a rich traveling friend! 😉
Thank you.
Mostly RV centric here. Look forward to you being back in the can.
I wish you guys would go back toward the rv part of your videos. I miss those. But still good content keep it going
I totally agree.
I have loved following your adventures and I have to laugh when women find it difficult to pack 1 carry-on for a trip. I gave lessons on “Pack Right - Travel Light” back in 2010 where I escorted a 3 week group tour of Spain with ladies “trying” to do only a carryon. I found some of the ladies throwing away their old cloths to lighten their bags 😆
keep the clips coming
Buy several long usb cables that are 10 and 6 foot. That makes it easy to move the device where you want it.
Out of the several trips we have done to italy, Assisi was the most beautiful. I would look out over the view and it looked like a very detailed painting. The normal tourist locals are great, but going into the hill towns is where its at. Going to Lake Como, is pretty scary with those roads so narrow. Lots of accidents. We have done both (tour and soloed) Soloing is the way to go if you want an experience, but if you want structure and learning the history do a tour. Which ever way you go, you will have the time of your life.
How bello!
Happy Sunday everyone- 15 minutes late to dinner break almost 2K views behind.
I enjoy all your videos, Do you have any plans to visit any of the florda rv shows in 2024
Italy 🇮🇹 😊
How do you two stay in such awesome shape?!? Even on vaca you look fantastic fit and healthy!!😘
Nice elderly visit.
What is the restaurant at 8:32? Looks like a great dining spot!
Hi Guys!
What would say cost ended up being? We’re headed in June family of 4
Italy looked like so much fun. Will Caleb be making a guest appearance anytime soon?
Newt episode. Working on it now.
The guy pulling the trailer with a bug! We noticed that also in Germany and we’re wondering how. Must be lighter trailers???
Does this mean we're not in Italy anymore? 😪 I always feel awkward around shared costs with people. Tips and best practices would be helpful.
Awesome recap. Seventeen outfits in a carry on?? SEVENTEEN? As a pilot I always had to travel light but this is… Biblical. The only way I could do that would be nine bathing suits and two pairs of socks. And that would leave me a last outfit for the flight home. Although (come to think of it) my chances of a first class upgrade would be limited.
You guys always make my peloton session FLY by!! ❤❤
I'm sure you both enjoy your trip to Italy but are happy to be home. I laughed when you were (stuffing) I mean packing your suitcase. Have you noticed Americans always seem to over pack their suitcases.
I don’t think I have 17 outfits! And I always under pack so there’s room for new things. Hubs and I did Florida in 2wks with carry on bags and no problem!
Oh, and we ended up buying one suitcase to get all the things we purchased back to the US .. lol
This was by far my favourite playlist. You just to my dream holiday. One day 😊🙏🏻🐨
Empty nesters on the howl!!! Glad to see you two enjoy your adventures with a couple of friends to enjoy your journey in Europe! Just do it while you are young enough to enjoy it! Suddenly at 55, you have health and vigor, until you do not! And at 60 years old you slow down a little! And then the big 65 hits and you cannot do what you thought you could do forever, and now take out trip insurance that covers emergency transportation for the two of you if you are on a cruise! It gets more difficult and expensive when you turn 65 and Medicare becomes your primary health insurance! I say better get all that travel out of your system before you are 65 years old and Medicare becomes your primary care insurance! If you travel after that, you need insurance for the trip, for health, for out of the country, for emergency transportation...
Just telling you that this becomes very expensive to pay for in your retirement years!
may be a bit difficult to navigate around, and THERE ARE STAND USERS EVERYWHERE
👍👍👍👍 👍👍👍👍👍👍
❤🇮🇹🍕🥂

Italy has a way to add on a few pounds it seems
Most Americans are going through financial hell right now and even when RVing is becoming a luxury the last thing on most North American's mind right now is a month in Italy, your views show that from 260K, 109K, 88K 57K and this week as of now 12K. Bad decision, bad timing. I love you both a great deal, love your videos and have watched you for years faithfully every Sunday. With the economy, spiraling gas prices skyrocketing, food prices going through the roof, violence in the streets, mass murders, political mayhem, and wars running rampant? Italy and world travel is just not on this RVers agenda.
Apologies if this comment posts twice. I tapped something on my screen and couldn't find my existing comment. So here we go again:
Trish, your thumbnail image is straight out of a fashion magazine; stylish and very professionally composed. And that, in a nutshell, is exactly what's wrong with it, IMO.
The image says to me, the success of KYD has gone to your head. Humble RVers no more, you're livin' large as international jet-setters. Of course that's not the truth, at least I hope so, but that's not what the image conveys. The image conveys privilege.
If your plan all along was to start out with a family of five travel the country on a shoestring budget, seeing the sights, Route 66, the national parks - Americana up close - and then set yourselves up for careers in, respectfully, "mature" lifestyle advertising, you're plan is working.
I don't tow. My rig is a custom Sprinter conversion. I didn't subscribe to KYD and I don't watch your videos, to see you Jet Set the World and plan your next careers. Repeating myself I want to emphasize, I don't see any humbleness anymore. I think your success, while well-deserved, is being rubbed in your subscribers faces. It is a lot less like keeping your daydream and a lot more like multi-level marketing. It's a shame and IMO, insulting.

This is NOT your market, your viewership is literally cut in half! Go back to your RV, and not that tin can, get a luxury 5th Wheel and take us around the country in style!
it really makes me feel weird and hurts my heart, i see no one who is black there!!!
i want to live either here or in Croatia but i see no people of color!! that really tells you how mean and evil human beings are!!
I am a black architectural game designer, and i hope i get to live here while im young!!!
It would be very hurtful to be met with racism and further racial inequality like here in the us!! I don't want to be an anomaly when i finally make it!!
If you tell me euro tell me what that is in dollars?? Euro tells me nothing.
I thought this chanel was about rv living and rv travels, went off the rails. I’m out.
Oh! There’s plenty of that. Sometimes it’s fun to get other ideas of places to go. There are still lots of travel tips. Don’t be a stick in the mud. Enjoy the journey. Life is too short!!
The title of the channel is, "Keep Your Daydream", so pardon the few week RV absence while they fulfill their daydream of traveling to Italy. Have you watched every single one of their HUNDREDS of RV travel videos? If not, why not enjoy a few of those for a couple weeks, and cut them a little slack. Variety is the spice of life, afterall.
@@cindiwebber4556 Exactly, I tune in week after week for the fun escape.... not a set of unrealistic demands that certain viewers think they are entitled to ask of CZcams creators.
