Japanese Living in Malaysia

  • As part of our mini research project, we interviewed three Japanese who are currently staying in Malaysia, particularly in Universiti Sains Malaysia, USM, about the difficulties and challenges that they are facing during their stay in Malaysia. All credit goes to the interviewees, Professor Hideyuki Nagao, Ms. Matsumura Miki & Mr. Kyohei Sato :)
//Just to clear a few things up - Both Ms. Matsumura and Mr. Sato are exchange students from Akita International University, AIU. Mr. Sato lived in Malaysia for about 8 years when he was a kid (he went to Garden International School in KL) and another 2 years (as an exchange student in Penang) before this interview was conducted. And yes, Prof. Nagao is a practising Muslim.

I miss Dr Nagao, such a great lecturer. He has to adapt to Malaysian cultures and his supervised students have to cope with his Japanese ways. Still can't get over this video. He is such an inspiration, his whole family reverted and become good practising Muslims.

Not in Selangor? Are you living under a rock? Bus never on time. They don't stick to a timetable. Putra LRT always delay becoz of breakdown. Even the new MRT have problems. Yet they never learn and still continue to implement the driverless train system. Ampang LRT have a driver, it hardly ever breaks down but still unreliable because it has to share tracks with Putra.

After independence in 1957,there are still some people with japanese decendent. There is a japanese school located in Subang Jaya,Selangor.
