    Great review, Mike! You mentioned that you regularly use them for lightning your videos. Have you encountered any flickering using these as your light source? I notice a few "flicker lines" (dunno what their real name is) in your footage (01:43 - 01:46) when filming directly at the tiles. I was just wondering if this would have any effect on the footage when some given object is being lit BY them. I once had IKEA's "FLOAT" LED-panels as a light source for video, but they produced horrible lines on my footage. Thanks :)

If I put them all together , must I omit one of the control tiles and not use it or is there anyway to Slave one of the control tiles so that one is prioritized over the other in regards to overall pairing to the app and HomeKit

    Does it matter which slots I use to link the tiles together? If I have a center tile with each side surrounded by other tiles, does the center tile have to be connected in a certain pattern with the ones surrounding it in a 25 tile setup for example? Or can I just link the center square to say the top and/or bottom, without additional connectors on either side, assuming the “side tiles” are still connected to one-another using other available slots?

      @@techforever1970 they serve different purposed in my opinion. Hue is great as a color changing light bulb, but the nanoleaf is a whole different concept, it's a color changing decoration that is also very versatile based on your style.

    • @JasonZakrajsek
      @JasonZakrajsek Před 5 lety +3

      Chatta290 The thing about stuff like this and especially Hue, is that LED lasts so much longer than normal bulbs, and the “smart” aspects really make them useful for when you’re out of town, or need to set consistent routines and whatnot. It’s totally worth the cost up front in the long term.

      @Horizon301. Před 5 lety

      Jason Zak unless it lasts 10 years I wouldn’t buy them, the set up cost is extremely high and I can’t get too excited when LED light strips cost £5 compared to over £100 for the HUE ones with the bridge, it might not be smart but it kind of does the same thing with a few compromises

    I paid too much for this Nanoleaf Canvas system for it to continually break down on me. Out of nowhere a couple of weeks ago, the system just stopped working for no apparent reason.
    I tried everything that I could. I tried updates, uninstall and reinstall, hard resets and soft resets, I restarted my router, I've done everything I could think of but the buttons keep cycling through and the power button will blink blue 5 times then goes back to cycling through the buttons blinking. This will go on for hours and nothing will happen. Eventually, it shuts its self off.
    Really disappointed in this product. It is so cool when it works, but keeping it working is the issue. Very unreliable.
    Would not buy any further NanoLeaf products until they become more helpful and more reliable and can be paired with 5G networks.
