    Great work. Great slow motion work, great close ups and useful detail in the video. 👍🏽 Really enjoyed your explanations.

    Your slow mo work is so good. I love how you show the rear wheel with the front counter steer in action. Those ds racing stickers on teh wheels are almost visible in slow mo. Great video. Great detail. Great clsoe angles. Good stuff.

    EDIT: If you haven't got a DRZ, I'd recommend checking out the DRZ V2 or the GLD, as they'll provide better performance for lower price, and much easier to find too.
    If you have any lingering questions, feel free to ask any, I'll try to answer them when I see them.

    With all the extra parts it would become too much for me. Well, they don't make it anymore anyway so I'll just keep running my DRZ as stock.

    • @Auranapse
      @Auranapse  Před 4 lety +1

      It isn't actually that hard to assemble, honestly was easier to put together than the stock front end. But I think stock DRZ is would be good enough for most.
      For budget options I saw this guy use Atomic BZ parts to lower the scrub radius, in the process it seems like he gained some lock too.

      May be worth taking a look at :P

      @@Auranapse Thanks. Assembling isn't my concern but getting all the necessary parts is. This kit seems like it's for someone who has parts bin to rummage around as it needs something more than what come with the kit.
      I'll look into that BZ hubs and see if I can find some or probably mod some from original part.

    • @Auranapse
      @Auranapse  Před 4 lety +2

      @@BeaversHobby Ah I see, you will only need extra steering links that can attach from slide rack to wheel hub, around 15mm from ball link to ball link. Officially BM Racing uses SZ18, but I've seen many others use their own.
      Would be interested to see how the mod turns out on your end. If it turns out well would be interested to see a video on it :P

    Nice drifting. I have a DRZ kit and am going to build it now. What’s the floor you are running on? Did you board up all the surrounding?

    • @Auranapse
      @Auranapse  Před 4 lety

      It's just my home flooring made out of laminate flooring. I think for a drift surface it's not the best, but it's alright.

    • @Auranapse
      @Auranapse  Před 3 lety +1

      I guess I could talk about car setups for RWD in general while I do my overview of the GLD. Generally it's a balance of front vs rear grip, where I'll put more camber when I need less grip or less to 0 camber for more grip. I always try going for parallel or slight toe out setup as it tends to be more stable and have less drag, which makes it easier to not spin out. Saying it kinda briefly but that's the general idea for me.

      @Auranapse  Před 2 lety +1

      I was only able to get it because a friend at the track had one, unfortunately it's no longer in production and it's out of stock from everywhere I know, even the more obscure places like Taobao. I'd say with the release of the DRZ V2, it may be better to just go for that instead of a DRZ V1 + this upgrade.

    Hi I noticed that you are using a digital micro metal gear servo with metal casing. How is it, good? Is there any other similar servo that you can recommend? Because the stock servo’s throw is very limited

    • @Auranapse
      @Auranapse  Před 3 lety

      It's a pretty good servo, fast enough and accurate especially for its price I got from Banggood. I tried multiple cheap servos and this one seemed the best at that price point. If you want anything better you'll have to look at options like GL Racing's GL003DMG/Titanium gear servo, or A11CLS

    Hi, just wondering if that AFRC gyro any good? I'm looking for a good mini servo and gyro combo that can work under high gyro gain without shaking.

    • @Auranapse
      @Auranapse  Před 4 lety +1

      wyvern74 With my setup I’m able to run max 40% gain. It’s the same gyro as the hackslider and it works really well for me. In my case my bottleneck is probably the servo.

    • @jeffrytirta
      @jeffrytirta Před 4 lety

      Yeah must be the servo. I heard someone managed to setup the gain up till 85% using the mini aluminium servo from XRX without problem . Not sure which gyro he's using though.

    • @Auranapse
      @Auranapse  Před 4 lety +1

      @@jeffrytirta Assuming he's using the stock XRX gyro, its should be the same as the AFRC one actually, just with different colored casings. It seems to be rebranded constantly by different brandings on it, XRX, HGD1, BM Racing, Yeah Racing Hackslider Mini, and AFRC one. At least comparing between AFRC and HGD1's version, there is 0 performance difference I could notice. And Beaver's hobby also mentioned them being the same gyro too. Price wise they are all pretty much the same depending on the site you get it from.
      I can only safely say that it's clearly better than the stock Atomic Gyro that comes with the DRZ, as it's the only other relatively different gyro I have that I can test.
      There are some people on Facebook using 1/10 scale gyros too with great results, but at the cost of space.

    • @jeffrytirta
      @jeffrytirta Před 4 lety +1

      Yeah this gyro has been rebranded to so many brands, even AGF has the same one too..There are a lot of very good 1/10 gyros. I've been running 1/10 rwd using yokomo gyro and servo. Gyro gain setting was 100%, no servo shakes at all. Before that I was pairing yokomo gyro with power hd servo, only able to set Max gain to 40%.
