7'3 heavy and 7'3 medium heavy Fitzgerald all purpose rods are my favorites. I'll have to pick up the Okeechobee rod.. Miles ,I see you've lived all over the country. If you don't mind me asking, what state were you born in ? Congrats to you and yours, on the baby ! Thanks for all of the tips.

@@SonarFishing That's cool, me too. I was wondering bc it didn't sound like Tennessee ,lol. I'm jelly bro , I'd love to live where the summers aren't so brutal. Thanks for the reply. Tight lines.

Hey sonar can you send me some of those lures on that back wall you have a tackle shop back there ha ha just kidding bud. Good video bud. God bless you and your family. Hey miles I like to use 50lb braid I've tried using 65 lb and it's harder to get further back in the Lily pads it's like casting rope.

Do you bend up the hooks on your frogs just a bit? I know a lot of anglers and even pros that recommend it. What are your thoughts?

Honestly, I don’t usually have issues with hooking percentage usually with frogs. I rarely bend the hooks out.

New subscriber here when I'm punching the grass I'm having a hard time detecting the bite do you think I need a heavier weight. Do you have a video about punching thanks for the help

      I agree
I seem to be feeling the bite a few milasecond to late

Actually, a heavier weight likely will make it more difficult to detect a bite because it will already be putting extra pressure on your rod tip. Bigger weights make it harder to detect bites and also reduce hooking percentage. My suggestion is to make sure you use a rod that is optimized for punching that has a good balance which gives you a better feel. Also, making sure you’re using braid is a key. Otherwise, it might just take time to get used to what the bites feel like.
