Still as fresh today as it was 30 years ago when I was 15 and greatly influenced by such a big sound from 3 musicians ... The Raw Energy and dedication to their music still can be heard today
I got to see The Cramp's at the Vic Theatre in Chicago 2004 & they were AWESOME! It was the Fiends Of Dope Island tour, miss Lux, he was a great front man for sure!
I saw stray cats twice in toronto- Canada's wonderland and the Diamond Club. Both times were fantastic. At wonderland, he opened for George Thorogood. No comparison- Stray cats ruled.
My favorite of their songs. That stand-up bass player is awesome! And that drummer shows just how much of a drum kit you really need. Wish I had appreciated them a little more back in their day but I was young and wrapped up in angry music back then. Now I'm almost fifty and have traded angry music for fun music. Stray Cats were a fun group. Thanks for posting.
Hey, One of my favourite songs, this is the reason i wanted to play the upright bass, i would love tabs for this man! if anyone has tabs or so, please message me!
Brian Setzer was about 22 or 23 in this video. Nobody in today's popular music at that age has that type of musical proficiency and appreciation of what went before. Autotune? What's that? Can you imagine what these guys would say if a tv producer told them they would have to lip sync a performance?
Madonna is in the rock and roll hall of fame and these guys aren't. Go figure. And what gets me about that is the RnR hall of fame says they refuse to induct the Monkees because other people wrote and recorded their music. Oh you mean like Madonna? Where all of her hits were written and recorded by other people.
I could listen to this all day!
Country mixed with blues = Rock n Roll.....The purest form of it or birth of the original rock, that is.

He is probably the coolest cat alive, I have seen him a couple of times and it is a blast. my favorite rockabilly artist, the king of Neo Rockabilly.

They never lip synced except in their music videos but even then it was never auto tuned

Rockpalast? Wasn't this the show they had at Lorelei?
Legendary track for me. It's a pitty that the Double Bass sound so shitty on this recording. No offense to Lee. of course
At the begining I also hated that sound, but now I love it!!
I think it's got its areas of sounding shit but he's a brilliant player but it sound louder than Brian's gretsch
ouch that rhythm section sucks. can't tell if its the drummer or the bass, but shit is flubby
Bro, shut up
